And if an incoming manager doesn't think those signed by these DoFs are what he is looking for, lump it or like it ?

Then he won't take the job as he would have to make those feeling clear to the club , it's not rocket science

We have cleared that one up, our DoF does not sign players the manager does.

But he does decide the list based on requirements from manager. Manager doesn’t scour the market as per current model is how I think it works. In other words he doesn’t go and sign anyone he wants. He justifies his requirements and probably makes suggestions but the DoF finds players for the list taking account of budget. No way can manager sign any clown he wants.

Murty can't be involved in player selection for next season and we don't have a manager lined up for next season if it's true that Clarke was just approached, so that just leaves Allen.

When people are absent from an organisation, others step in temporarily. It could be that Allen is doing that as we need to start planning for next season now.

I think you're being a bit harsh to be fair. A decent, commanding midfielder to run the centre of the park, two strong centre backs and - most importantly - a manager who knows what he's doing and I think we'll be miles better than we have been this season.

Welcome to the world of SBS mate :ninja:

The manager decides who gets signed and who he wants, as said by no other than Mark Allen, can’t be any clearer.

Given that it's Mark Allen's job to identify possible managerial prospects , it's fair to say that there will be conversations based around what type of players are getting identified , if you seriously believe that we are going to wait and wait and wait for a new manager to sign before going for players your deluded .Oh and as point in fact , I believe Scott Arfield has been signed on a 3 year deal .

Have you any idea how boring this is? You’ve said exactly the same thing a dozen times, do you want an award of some kind for repetition?

There is no difficulty, Mark Allen has made it quite clear he does not sign players.

The difficulty you were experiencing was about what happens when an incoming manager does not like the squad he inherits.

Looks like you are talking about something else now.
