Rangers go to battle with football authorities

It’s actually quite impressive Keith Jackson put his head above the parapet and broke the media silence on this by actually giving an opinion rather than just reporting it. If it was a conflict of interest involving King there would have been countless opinion pieces and tweets by now calling for resignations all round. Hopefully others will follow  now that they’re not alone.

I still find the silence from all other clubs annoying!

Also why is Jackson and the rest of the pretend journalists asking the opinions of other clubs?

Heard him on Clyde last Wednesday night. You wonder how these guys get a job when there young? It’s all word of mouth and nepotism with most of that lot because it’s sure as heck not academic ability.

All the other clubs were quick to jump on us, all other clubs integrity is there for all to see,  no wonder I hate all the other clubs

What another pathetic column from Jackson.  He spends the first half trying to muddy the waters based on his own agenda before getting down the substance of the issue at hand; for which it is obvious even to those without experience of corporate governance matters that a clear conflict exists and that there is a real question to be asked of the SPFL Chairman and his suitability for office.

".....In a statement released to Record Sport yesterday an SPFL spokesman said: “Murdoch informed the SPFL Board in advance of taking up a board position with Independent News & Media Group of Ireland.

This followed him stepping down from his role as deputy chairman of the Telegraph Media Group. There is no conflict of interest between Murdoch’s role with INM and his role with the SPFL............”

The SPFL would say that wouldn't they, here's another infamous plausible denial statement, ''I never had sex with that woman, Monica Lewinsky. Both bullshit of course.
