".....In a statement released to Record Sport yesterday an SPFL spokesman said: “Murdoch informed the SPFL Board in advance of taking up a board position with Independent News & Media Group of Ireland.

This followed him stepping down from his role as deputy chairman of the Telegraph Media Group. There is no conflict of interest between Murdoch’s role with INM and his role with the SPFL............”

ForlanS has already posted this but it's worth another airing........."Shifty McGifty"

Did he take a libel action against Private Eye and if not, why not ?

Lots of other clipping about Shifty

I'd challenge the Daily Record to run with what was said in that Private Eye clipping in the above post and ask the SPFL/Shifty to comment on it.

Those with twitter accounts could put it out there.

Six weeks or so later, they finally do it

.........They back it up by referencing an assassination job in Private Eye magazine from last year where it was claimed when he worked at the Daily Record 30 years ago he often said he “cannae stand those b******s” when it came to Rangers........

I suspect the DR realises that there's a growing acceptance that he will have to resign, and this is their attempt to save face after their previous 'defence' of him.  He will go, it's just a matter of when and what reason he gives for it.

Is he gone yet?

Liewell’s corrupt regime is beginning to unravel.

Both Regan & Hughes are gone from the SFA. Unfortunately Refs supervisor Fleming still there ( whoever he actually is)

MacLennan’s time is up at the SPFL. Serious questions now need to be asked how he got there in the first place

However Doncaster should be the ultimate target. Get him out & we can say we’re getting back to where we once were in the hierarchy of Scottish Football
