[FT] Ufa 1 - 1 Rangers (Ejaria 9)

Recommended Posts

Tomorrow could be a big day for Ross McCrorie. He seems an obvious defensive substitution to make later in the game, maybe for Ejaria or Arfield. Especially if we are having to defend set pieces.

And yet again our opponents have been mouthy, shown us no respect and made Gerrard’s team talk easy for him.

Well, we will probably go back to the tested 4-2-3-1 ... and bar one player, the squad probably picks itself.

McGregor

Tavernier - Katic - Goldson - Flanagan

... where the only suprise inclusion might be Wallace. I doubt he will be given a start though.

Central midfield will probably be Jack and Arfield, with McCrorie making a cameo appearance later on.

Attacking midfield ...

Candeias - Ejaria - Lafferty

... unless SG want Kent on either wing. IMHO, he does not yet have the impact factor of Lafferty, nor the ability to harrass people and track back like Candeias. Tavernier is visibly lacking as a defender when Candeias is not there. Later on, Middleton could add some spark and hit Ufa on the break.

Up front it will be Morelos, unless SG wants Lafferty as a tall target-man, someone who can lay balls off to Candeias, Ejaria, Kent or Middleton.
