Semi Final

Hampden ticket allocation controversy is about as reliable event in the Scottish fitbaw calander as you get.

Just as the pundits conversations on the matter might aswell be tapes from any year from the past decade.

You'd think they'd have come up with set recognised ways to deal with the various potential circumstances by now that the clubs could sign up to in advance.

It shouldn't be rocket science.

It's quite a competitive race to be the most pathetic between Aberdeen FC, their fans and the PQ sheep.

Rangers handed an extra 6,000 tickets for semi-final clash with Aberdeen

By Christopher Jack @Chris_Jack89 Group Senior Sports Writer

RANGERS have received an extra 6,000 tickets for the Betfred Cup semi-final with Aberdeen.

The Light Blues were initially handed 26,000 briefs at Hampden but that figure has now been boosted after slow sales from the Dons ahead of the showdown next Sunday.

Aberdeen had previously demanded a 50/50 split of tickets but SportTimes revealed how Rangers won a battle to ensure their supporters would occupy the entire North Stand.

Hundreds of Dons fans who purchased tickets for the East Stand have now had to be relocated to the South Stand after the SPFL slashed their allocation and took back seats to accommodate a larger Light Blues crowd as Steven Gerrard’s side bid for semi-final success.
