I always had time for Windass but he needed to be playing in a much better team than we had back then. Could he do a job for us now? I’d like to think so but I somehow doubt he’s the answer to the genuine problem you highlight.

Windass , though having plenty of ability , has neither the desire , willpower or mental strength to deal with playing at the top level for any club never mind us .
