Yeh. I’m a fan of Murphy’s but Gerrard isn’t. In a season like this though I can see sense in sending strong fringe players to teams who could take points off Celtic. It would weaken them against us too.

It's hard to see how Murphy breaks back into the Rangers team. If he wasn't already on the books, how many would see signing Murphy as a step forward? Much as I've always liked him, long before he came to Rangers, if Jordan Jones can't find a way back into contention soon then we should offload him too.

Performance-wise, earlier this year, I envisaged Barker being the first to be moved. As it seems, Murphy and Jones are the most likely to go, with Stewart being the only one of the "fringe"-wingers/strikers making the bench.

 

SG said a wee while back that they know what Barker can do, yet he has/had some sort of mentality issue, i.e. the belief in himself and his ability. You would hope that a few more games will break that barricade and he goes on and builds on last weekend.
