Aberdeen and Celtic players break Covid quarantine rules

Recommended Posts

If he's been training with the squad then they are at risk. Doesn't matter that he returned a negative, he probably wouldn't test positive in the early stages if he's caught it. I can't see how the authorities don't come down on Celtic like a tonne of bricks after what Aberdeen players did. At the end of the day he's broken the quarantine laws in the UK, it seems to be a worse crime than the Aberdeen players.

Christ footballers can be daft.

Thus, in summation : we have two investigations currently being undertaken by ra Sellik. Leigh Griffiths girlfriend had a dozen of her besties over for a birthday party in Bothwell. The photos were on the social media, no social distancing, breaking the no more than three households rule. Secondly, we have Bolingoli nipping off to Spain for a city break, without informing anyone? There appears to be a discipline problem at ra Stade de Gadd.

What will Nicola say? What will the SPFL Chief Executive, Neil Doncaster say? What will Shifty McGifty and Rod ra Fraud say?

What will Peter let any of them say?

We should be told.

Very difficult to see how Celtic can play their next 2-3 games now with the Bolingoli news.

Covid has a 14 day incubation period so it could be another 10 days or so before the disease shows up in any tests.

UEFA especially will be watching very closely as they may have to throw Celtic out the CL.

Take a quick look at the hierarchy of the SPFL/SFA and the Scottish government.

Taking away the huge health implications, in playing him in the final few minutes of Sunday's game, have Celtic broken SFA / SPFL rules by playing an ineligible player?

He should have been self-isolating for 14 (?) days hence unavailable for selection.

Humza threatening to pause the season now. Sounds like a better idea than making Aberdeen and Celtic suffer the consequences. At the very least, postpone their games for the next fortnight and then they can deal with the backlog.
