[FT] Rangers 1 (Hagi 33) - 0 Hibernian

Recommended Posts

As I said at half-time we did drop a bit deeper, too deep for me, but Hibs never really looked like grabbling a leveller whilst we could easily have had one or two more ourselves.

After defending Kent at half-time, he moved further forward with Aribo dropping back and because of that we didn't keep the ball as well as we'd like and with Hagi and others tiring, we seemed to lose the midfield battle somewhat.

The introduction of Arfield was belated for me but it was actually Morelos who provided the late inspiration and the wee man really allowed us to kill the game with some great play and was really unlucky after an excellent counter and through ball from Kent not to break his recent duck.

All things considered, not as comfortable as we'd like after half-time but I suspect it will look a lot easier on a re-watch.  Ultimately though another vital and well deserved win! Not onto Paisley...

Told ya! You need a few 1- zeros every now and then. And Greeg's save - you expect him to do that now.

Easy to forget that save - was going in for me and he did well to force it wide when the bounce could have beat him.

Delighted with the win but why take Hagi off ? Having his best games in ages. And Kent struggling just now

He had worked incredibly hard and was tiring a bit.

I think we needed a bit of cover so bringing Arfield on was the good move, IMO.

We rode our luck in the second half and it was a bit like the corresponding game two years ago today but without the bad ending.

When we went a goal up it reminded me of the don't whether to stick or twist approach we ended up paying for in Paisley.

Win is a win, not complaining !!

12 on the bounce, we move on or back to Paisley.
