Roofe banned for two games

Recommended Posts

We need to appeal this and if necessary take it to the courts. Someone has to make the first step or else this will go one and on ( ... maybe they wait for it, so they can charge us and deduct points?).

At the end of the day, we don`t want to clear Roofe here, but want a transparent system where the rules at hand are used and not some mumbo-jumbo side-rule that is applied after trial by TV and as they see fit.

while roofe is guilty if he was at celtc he would have got away with this. That has to stop.

He was guilty of a careless challenge that could easily have been a red, but it was obvious there was no intent. There are just so many challenges throughout the season in that category that don’t get cited.  The ones that do get cited are normally not seen by the ref or the kind of challenges that are obviously a bit dirty. Curtis Main on Barisic comes to mind. The double standards are shocking.

The one below was not even a foul ... nor was there any retrospective action.

On the one below the three refs couldn`t agree on a unanimous decision either ..

Anyone can spot the difference?

That was not a yellow card .. just for the ability of the refs to use the rules

Yellow cards are not always required ...

... and that`s just the tip of the iceberg.

On what basis would you take this to the courts.  Seriously, no one is ever going to get anywhere with this if we continue to waste time and energy on fictitious remedies and impossible solutions. It is what it is. You either change the relationship between Rangers and the SPFL & SFA to something like we had well before the Murray years or you settle for how it is today. Celtic are benefiting now because they understood better than we did that this is essentially a political battle, not a legal one. Many years ago Rangers was by far the most influential club in the Scottish game but we turned that into a "no one likes us, we don't care" situation. Of course it's not entirely as simple as that but you get my point.

and this will never change while we continue to return republican MSP and MP's continually.

Roofe is getting banned for a tackle that similar other tackles in the SPFL have gone unpunished for.

At best it is incompetence at worst corruption.

Does anyone wonder why the SPFL cannot attract sponsorship?

Whatever is the next step it would take needs to be taken.

Else nothing will change. And that cannot be an option.
