Gio on Instagram posted a rather nice farewell but in it he said:

I faced unique challenges and some very difficult circumstances to operate in.

Shots fired 👀?

Maybe a shareholder could ask what Gio meant in that at the AGM...... and you wonder at the timing, are those challenges and circumstances going to be any different for Beale or who ever takes over?

It's pointless to agonise over what, if anything, GvB meant by his comment about "unique challenges and some very difficult circumstances".

1. We have no way of knowing for sure what he is alluding to.

2. Even if we did, we can't know if it's true or not.

3. Even if it is true, it's too late now.

4. The future is far more important to Rangers than water under the bridge.

'Unique challenges' i presume are a reference to the Champions league, and the 'very difficult circumstances' would be the alarming amount of injuries.

For me, he was responsible for both of those.

not sure the injuries were solely his fault. Signing players with known injury records was madness.

And I’m not sure our current first team squad was ever going to be good enough to compete in the CL group we were in

Our fitness, conditioning and medical department has been atrocious, which has led to injuries. Even the perma-crocks played more under SG than they have under GvB. (Soutar is the only new signing with a known injury record.)

If we can reach a EL final, then we can certainly compete in the CL. That doesn't mean we win every game, merely put up a fight. Of course the team is good enough for that. Celtic got humilated in the EL and then the Conference, but they still put up a better fight than we did.

Hope the potential manager is watching the Morocco V Belgium with a notepad. The benefits of a drilled in-swinging free kick was there for all to see. Let's throw the floaty out-swinging corners and free kicks in the dustbin where they bloody belong.

At a loose end yesterday I watched a compilation of our goals during 55 season. We scored a few goals from corners and free-kicks.
