I suspect both Kent and Morelos will wait until the end of the season to see who comes in for them once they’ve run down their contracts.

I also suspect they may be disappointed at who comes for them and maybe more so who doesn’t come in for them. 
The new Rangers manager might already be thinking about other options

You have to have buyers for players and those buyers need to offer a market value fee. You can't sell them to Melchester Rovers for monopoly money. 

 

Imagine the uproar if he sold Kent nd Alfie for say £5M each after 55.

 

Goldson ran his contract down then resigned and Alfie and Kent may do the same, maybe they'll leave on a free transfer.

 

Players have the power, they don't need to accept a transfer and they don't need to sign an extension. 

 

What do you suggest we do? Keep them locked in The Louden listing to Marshals patter until they sign?

Tbh if Morelos goes, we should be fairly happy we got the goals we got from him over the time he was here for the small sum we paid for him.

Aye, it would've been great to get a big fee for him, but shit happens, we can't always do a Bassey.

We have managed to turn what was a positive situation into a negative.

 

Gio&Co have answered with their jobs but that doesn't get to the route of the problem.

 

You could see where the ongoing squad management during 2021 and 2022 was going to take us. Changing the manager is easier than changing the squad but we all know too well what this group of players will give us,.... inconsistency.

 

Generally speaking, we are effectively backing another outsider whilst crossing our fingers. 

The odds lengthening due to the relatively limited funds available to work with.

In an interview released today, Beale has confirmed that Kent phoned him prior to his appointment asking if Beale was coming back.

 

Beale also says Kent is someone he likes and trusts. Says Kent sometimes tries to do much in a game.

I find that with a lot of our players, and I say it often. 

 

They're not good enough to do everything well. 

 

They need to simplify their game, just focusing on the things they are good at. 

 

Kamara is a case in point: allow him to play as a supportive player, winning the ball back and playing simple passes to those more creative, and he's a good asset.

Things can change quickly in football.  Bad squad management can turn into good squad management if results and performances improve, as well as less of a queue for the treatment room.

 

It's very much a let's wait and see situation. 

 

Unfortunately, I think the 9 point gap is too much.  There's no way the scum will drop that many points.
