[FT] Aberdeen 2 - 0 Rangers

Today was difficult to take but let’s get things into perspective the game was relatively meaningless as the league’s been gone long ago.

We should be more concerned about whether MB is up to the job as Rangers manager & what sort of squad we’ll have ready for next season. My concern about the current squad is that the structure is all wrong. We’re overloaded in some positions & short in others and have got a goalkeeping position which needed sorting last summer if not earlier.

Its frightening when you think what we need in the summer after today. So many of the current squad need shipped out

It looks more and more likely that all of those whose contracts are running out end of season won’t be offered new deals.

Thats a lot of players to replace. And it gets even more difficult when you try to get the quality we want on an unknown budget

True in a way but some today were a square peg in a round hole and this really needs to be sorted.

Getting beaten is never easy to take, but getting beaten by a team showing more desire to win is horrible. We lacked effort, togetherness, quality, and organisation. MB, the coaches and players need to get a grip before we hand septic a frickin treble. :ns:

If you sit back and look there has been some share dealing in the past six weeks or thereabouts cutting back on medical staff not looking like we’re going to fill the DOF role players letting contracts run down and another law suit , hope i am way off track but I would say our finances are in peril .

Agree. The physio room is the strongest part of the squad. A clear out of perennial losers is required. Stop talking about the past with 55 and Seville. Start focusing on winning the next game.

A lot of (merited) criticism of Michael Beale overnight. So far he's been fairly kind to his players - those staying or those not. It's arguably beyond time he called them out for another flawed performance, as well as their lack of commitment. Perhaps he'll even get a reaction ahead of next week.

Despite some disappointments over last fortnight, Beale's early tenure has been reasonable enough with a squad he inherited that we all know is clearly not good enough. The manager deserves and will get another window but he needs to show strength with under-performers. Fans won't accept timidity from the players or the coaching staff.
