My only concern with Max Aarons would be why he managed just 4 appearances (118 minutes) for Valencia last season. Doesn't appear to be due to injuries, he was just constantly on the bench. That said, if we can get anything close to the form he showed at Norwich that earned him the move to Bournemouth, it could be a great low-risk signing. The Valencia loan had a buy option, so I’d imagine we’d be looking at a similar structure.

... I would point out that without VAR, we'd still get refereed out of a penalty at the League Cup final, and that goal against Hibs would not have counted. What VAR did was showing the blatant cheating and/or incompetence that Scottish football is infamous for (on this shore of the Clyde), on and off the pitch.

First game he played for us (came on as a sub against PSV?) I thought he looked excellent. Then after that, He was second to every ball he went for, sometimes third.
