Same thing happened with Champion, used to be quite a cheap brand, came back as this expensive exclusive thing.
  5. Have genuinely not seen anyone waring Gola past 1994. Not sure anyone fondly remembers being bullied for wearing Gola. That's brilliant. Just googled it - Anyone paying 80 for Gola deserves to pay £80 for Gola. Also looks to be owned by the Jacobson group which is Ashley and SD. Same applies to Umbro tbh
  6. Nor should you. It's interesting though because the description itself is all over the place. The information we get back from these tools is, in many cases, just a load of rubbish.
  7. Doesn't give much away.
  8. He likes to keep things tight.
  9. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gola_(brand) In the early 2000s, Gola sportswear was re-launched in the UK as a 'retro' sports fashion brand, selling to the same people, now grown up, who fondly remembered the brand from their childhood – but at premium prices.
  10. What we got is what we deserved for sacking a manager without a replacement. The Barry & co thing has been a shambles. We bit our nose off to spite our face.
  11. Yes as I didn’t know the term Bloke core 🤣

  13. Is Ebenezer any Goode ?
  14. There was always going to be a little bit of a conflict with Barry getting that gig, even for a few months. The fact that he been making noises about actually wanting the job means he was never told it could not be his. With that, he was never going to risk picking anything other than the team he hoped could win. This period should have been about getting a sense of who had the minerals to be kept, both youth and squad. That is not what we got.
  15. 'Rangers manager Philippe Clement hailed the signing as a significant boost to the club’s defensive ranks ahead of a crucial season.' 'Rangers’ move for Annan comes as part of a broader strategy to rejuvenate their squad with young, versatile talents capable of making an immediate impact and developing further under Clement’s guidance. With Borna Barišić expected to depart this summer, Annan’s arrival provides a timely reinforcement on the left flank.'

    Ebenezer Annan

Yes, I thought that as well, but I will say it has been on the known Dutch websites that we and Feyenoord were chasing him. It could of course be an AI put together.
  17. Rangers manager Philippe Clement hailed the signing as a significant boost to the club’s defensive ranks ahead of a crucial season. Suggests the accuracy of that story...
  18. His managerial CV is beyond redemption.

  20. I doubt the 49ers have a time machine, so the deal is done and Cortes is our player.
  21. Ferguson is picking the team based on what's best for Ferguson and not what's best for the club in the medium term. It shouldn't matter if Lawrence is doing better in training. He's gone soon and not part of next season. Cortes will still be our player and desperately needs game time. Ferguson wants the win so it looks good on his CV/record, rather than thinking about the club for next season.
  22. Not using Cortes and Danilo even when fit is rather mind-boggling. I doubt there is something about "games played" involved, since he so far "participated" in 9 (as in: nine) games this season, playing 271 mins. It were 7 games last season (from March 2024). Before he signs a three, let alone four or five year deal, I'd like to see a bit more on the field of play.

  24. Interesting way many look at players values in this thread and many others. Using Cortes as an example of a waste of millions. 4 million fee, 5 year deal at 12k p/w (Illustrative costs, may not be accurate) = £7,120,000 over the duration. Now, lets look at Matondo. 2.5 million fee, 4 years at 28k p/w (Illustrative costs, may not be accurate) = £8,324,000 over the duration. Is it as bad as you first thought? Also take into account the boy is 21, not 22 until December. He could have a decent 6 months and we could easily sell at a profit. Yes it could go the other way too but life is full of risks.

  26. A sense of entitlement commonly associated with those of Irish Republican descent. Sounds familiar tbh. Guy is a massively decorated player, has been a key part of the best side they have had in generations. Been in the first team for about 8 years. Let him go and live in Spain. Is it so hard to understand? It cant be down to money alone as Liverpool can pay well.
