  2. Inter-Urawa is on 5Action tonight. FYI.
  3. Other teams have signed 5-6 players by now...
  4. Blue sea of Ibrox is a culture thing that springs to my mind , as Rangers fans we need to often ask ourselves to check the internal Sat nav is it guiding us towards hatred or down that wrong path that would make Jock Wallace shake his head or is it unconditional roaring support no matter what it takes or costs.
  5. It may well be. But I'm not going to mock the intent. Yeah, Aarons appears out of our budget, in terms of permanent signing, so he'll not be here to sit on the bench, IMO.
  6. It's garbage jargon for me. A winning mentality is what we had. Meanings from Oxford Dictionary. Mentality meaning - the characteristic way of thinking of a person or group. Culture meaning - The arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively.
  7. All hot air, at the end of the day. Just do it on the pitch. I don't think we'll be bringing in Max Aarons to sit on the bench.
  8. I don't think it's hipster jargon. We've had a club culture for decades, which has generally been based on winning. We've lost that over the past 15 years.
  9. Today
  10. That's partly my point - you're (not you specifically) taking the p*ss when you don't know what it is. The winning culture of the 90s is a club culture. We can take the p*ss when/if it fails, but I'm not going to dismiss the new board's intention to rid the club of the culture of failure that has been infecting us for the past 15 years. Playing style is separate from a club culture. I share the frustration around the lack of new signings. That's got nothing to do with club culture.
  11. I think culturally means a couple of LOL Marshall types in the middle to stop the wee schemies shitting on our parade, every SPL side has a couple of these cunts.
  12. I think it is more to do with nobody has a clue what they mean by “culture”, and probably have very little faith in us being able to carry it out. We don’t have time to imbed a culture (whatever that means) as we just need to win. Our style has to be one that beats a low block as that is what we face more often than not. It’s all well and good saying we will install a system of play that is attractive or plays from back to front or whatever but if it doesn’t break the 10 man wall then it won’t result in winning football and a league win. The negativity comes from signing one squad player from Dundee and a backup player on loan from Bournemouth in the 5 or 6 weeks since the season ended and with our first massive Euro game only a month away and 10 players having left the squad.

  14. Loved the number one fanzine and always bought it from George before a game. Always thought it was generally lighter and more humorous than FF. Stood and chatted with George a few times as well as seeing him at the games and concur with the guys above that he was a proper Bear and a damn good guy. RIP to The EA.
  15. Crappy hipster jargon has been around for a while.

  17. No wonder this country is a footballing backwater. The least little change and you're all...
  18. True, so far we have a player from Dundee and nearly a loanee from Bournemouth to probably sit on bench behind tav. Footballing identity should be fun playing out from the back with tav, butland and jefte next season. Buzzing for it

  20. You could ride a coach and horses through their latest response and I hope we do. It has been written by a dimwit.
  21. No, we're going to have a footballing identity, and not be a feckin basket case drifting from debt to more debt. Hopefully. 😎
  22. Great memories gents. 👏🏻
  23. Sad to hear this truly awful news. George was Haghill's Renaissance Man. I met him first fifty years past in the Burn's Howff in West Regent Street, George was a singer in a blues band. If you got around the live music venues in Glasgow in those days, the Maggie, His Nibs, the Beer Keller, ...... etc; you realised George sang in lots of Blues bands. I travelled on the Bristol Bar bus to Birmingham in 1976 to see Rangers play Aston Villa. In fact two buses left the Duke Street pub, a double decker and a coach. George was on the bus with a mate who I knew from my time at Fir Park Boys' Club. Billy McClymont played for Motherwell but claimed George was the more talented footballer. I believe George played professionally during his period in Canada. I contributed a couple of dozen pieces to the Number One 'zine over the years and Editor George never augmented/subtracted/suggested/advised anything - he just offered thanks. George was a red, white and blues man.

    Club Statement

This is just small feed the question the board at Ibrox should have been demanding answers to was when will the football authorities of Scotland strip titles and trophies from the club in the east end but the gutless ones at Ibrox say nothing I was recently talking to a Celtic person at the racing and he said no doubt about it if the crimes had been committed under Rangers name they would have demanded titles and trophies must go .
  25. Fucking beltor
