Well merited praise on here for Clachnacuddin a few weeks ago but in the interests of balance, here are the true Lords of the North, Elgin City. This is their XI beaten narrowly and unluckily 6-1 by Rangers at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup, First Round, 1949. Front row middle is former Scottish internationalist, Matt Armstrong, but the goal scorer is outside left, Johnnie Logie seated front right of the picture next to his brother, Peter in the suit and tie. Rangers won the Cup that season. No other team scored against them until Clyde got a goal in the Final.

I do love the TIFOS. There is a much more conciliatory tone in that statement.

I’m not chancing that.

I don't understand the emotional stuff between fans and players. I don't care what's fair when it comes to handsomely paid footballers. As much as I can't stand him, Alex Ferguson had the right idea about squad changes. If your time's up, it's time to go - no fanfare, just go.
-
It would be a nice transition if Tav was to hand down to Raskin in a way that benefited all parties, when we needed Tav throughout the seasons he produced the goods, its only fair we give him a propper send off!
-
Hey, it may just be a coincidence.....

Scramble! Bandit approaching. Shoot it down.

It's too difficult to know if he should be captain without knowing what the dressing room is like. No reason why we can't discuss this for about forty pages.
-
I do tbh. Even if just psychologically, he is a reminder of an era of failure. Personally I'd rather that cycle was brought to a close. And with our new Sporting and Technical Directors I'd be looking to see if Nathan Patterson fancies up the road.
-
I am dreading Martin getting the job. I can understand to some extent he appears to be less of a risk but I can't bear the thought of another Clement, playing the ball about at the back, wedded to a philosphy and stubbornly refusing to change it. I would prefer to take the risk with Ancelotti.

Private jet taking off from Southampton and due to arrive in Glasgow this evening.

His time as captain was up a few years back but the issue we had was no one was capable of replacing him. Not just as captain but in terms of availability, contribution and leadership. Until there is someone that matches Tav on the above attributes, then he'll remain. On reflection, Dessers matches the above, I'd give him the arm-band.
-
I think next season will be his last as he’s OOC at the end of next season. He might still be captain next season but I expect a RB to brought in who’ll play a significant number of games.
-
I think he's here until he retires. I don't have a problem with that.
-
Oh, this will trigger a few.......
-
Tav has too many off days now. Shouldn't be a starter, never mind captain.
-
I'd not be keeping Tav in any capacity if possible.
-
Didn't say that, and he isn't "bang average", he's the leagues top goal scorer - but no point selling him and being left with "worse" - Danilo.
-
New season, new owners ,and perhaps a new captain ? Only candidate from the current team would be Raskin imo.
-
So let's settle for a bang average Dessers because any striker we sign might be worse.
