  2. Matondo is no real loss, as his last game showed. Far too erratic in his standard right now. Sima much more so, and it beggars belief how all our quality performers suffer one injury after another. Silva, Dessers, and Roofe are fit, and they all can play across the front line. Maybe it is good that we rested Wright for the more important games ... 😎
  3. Yilmaz was supposedly close to making the Celtic game - how is he still out 3 weeks later?! Our club is cursed
  4. It's another big Sunday for Rangers as we return to league action against St Mirren in Paisley. No Sima or Yilmaz with Matondo also a doubt so a few places in the team up for grabs. Most likely to be along these lines but will Sterling be used elsewhere and who plays centre-half?
  5. Manager hopes he'll feature again this season so hopefully just a couple of weeks.
  6. Clement said he "hopes to see him again this season."

  8. Yet more bad injury news: - Sima out - Matondo doubtful - Yilmaz and Jack back in training next week
  9. Would rather watch the East of Scotland Swimming Championships at Forfar Baths than either celtic or Scotland. In very olden times the telly was bbc1, bbc2 and ITV. bbc Scotland did sort of exist as an occasional opt-out from 1. Of course it wasn’t the viewer who did the opting. One Saturday afternoon Grandstand was covering a thrilling Lord’s Test Match, England v West Indies but suddenly the picture faded to be replaced briefly by a snowstorm then by a fellow from the Glasgow studio announcing that lucky Scottish viewers were being taken to the above mentioned venue to watch the above mentioned event. So instead of Hall and Griffiths in their prime we got the spectacle of folk splashing up and doon the watter. I wasn’t best pleased then but now offered celtic or Scotland at the football or the Forfar aquatics, the watery event might be a relief

May I offer my every sympathy. Woodentopery, like Bootneckery is a recognisable condition and I believe treatable? Utrinque Paratus Loyal RSC.

  13. I'm sure those boots had swizzle studs suppose to make you turn easier with less chance of sprained ankle.

Was at that game and the others V Brazil & Yugoslavia, based in Munster at the time attached to 1SG. Remember it being a nice stadium.

    Ibrox

It was the Scotland v Zaire group match during the 1974 World Cup hosted by West Germany, the match took place in the Westfalenstadium in Dortmund. My old man took me as a reward for gaining access to University, we were standing outside when Willie Waddell passed as part of the SFA party. The perceived wisdom is that Waddell on returning to Glasgow persuaded the Directors to model the new Ibrox on the Dortmund stadium.
