    CUP FINAL

The manager must be getting sick of trying to patch a starting XI together with what is available. - There are those who will be out of contract next month. - There are those who aren't really match fit or in an established rhythm. - There are those who seem to have lost interest and/or can't be bothered with applying themselves when we haven't got possession. - There are those whose legs seem to have gone recently. - There are even a couple he can rely upon. Results over several years suggest a collective inferiority complex and lack of belief against our opponents. The manager hasn't yet found a way to beat them. Whilst a one off Cup Final represents opportunity and potentially, a motivational tool for those who are being questioned. It also represents a danger for the managers 'credit balance'. He must feel like a man with a stick on his way to a gunfight.
  3. I saw the score but didn't see the game till just now. Jeeze Louise. They tanked that one.
  4. McCausland for me too. He's been the man to get us back into the last two matches and deserves credit for doing so.

There is a big advantage, for us, in that the fhilth will hugely underestimate us, hugely overestimate themselves, and generally, and genuinely, think that they merely have to trap at Hampden to win the match. Therefore, we should be 3-0 up before they know what has hit them.
  6. He's, em, Kosovan, and has played for the national XI, albeit is yet to score While, as a general rule, I don't have a problem with midfielders or forwards from the former Yugoslavia, I wish that we would look at cbs or dms, from, say, Serbia/Croatia/Bosnia; you know, big, hard, strong, fast, bastards who can play a bit, take no backward steps, and know how to get a reducer in early on the opposition's danger man/men. (That's a person spec, M. Clement.)
  7. Ross McCausland - the biggest reason for that for me is because he tried to make things happen when the game was in the balance just like he did vs Dundee.
  8. Yes, but he will only cost half the money we will receive for Tavernier from SG 😎 ... we love the rumours, don't we?
  9. Today
  10. You could call it a personal grudge, on my part (I'm sure our signing policy won't take my suggestions into account anyway, unfortunately).
  11. I get that tbf but I also think getting our fingers burnt once and discontinuing any further work in that area of recruitment is a damning trait of this current board. That Jake Hastie deal a few years ago dealt some serious psychological damage to some of the higher ups imo, and that's borne out of the reluctance to sign young domestic talent over the last few years. A serious club would see a signing flop and think about how they can find a better player from a similar background, rather than swerving that part of Europe all together. Why look all over Europe when you can find players in Belgium with a 1 in 3 record or EFL players running down their contracts?
  12. The last Albanian we signed (Grezda) was a disaster, so I'd prefer us to avoid that market.

The big question is: Will Clement let Celtc run the midfield again? The answer to that will probably go a long way to deciding the outcome of the match. I suspect it'll be more of the same, unfortunately.
  14. Allow me the indulgence to quote myself lads... I've just watched a Mofokeng comp to try and gauge what he's like, and for the life of me I can't tell if he's actually 5'3 or not? Maybe it's because he's so lean he appears a bit taller. He looks tidy enough technically though, hopefully we've moved past the left wingers who's second touch is a tackle (Sakala, Sima).
  15. That'll never catch on - he's not even injured!
  16. Depends who is fit but I would go Butland Tav Souttar Leon Ridvan Sterling Dio Lundstrum Ross. Dessers. Sima And my instructions would be everyone to a man press and back each other up Celtic for years have been weak when pressed but nobody ever does it to them
  17. lots of our fans love to look back at our history of trophies won 55 leagues and all that but since 11/12 seasons the horrors have topped the pile 12 times to our measly 1 and in that time weve only managed runner up about 6 times our record is abysmal and maybe it needs pointing out to the board that the hoops will draw level next season if they dont get the finger out and deliver some decent money for new players .
  18. I doubt he's negotiating the fee or transfer tbh - European clubs aren't run like Hibs were when Alan Stubbs kiboshed the Scott Allan transfer. They'll have a DoF and/or chairman for that. If they're geniunely upping the price because their manager is ex Celtic then more fool them.
  19. Neil Lennon is the manager there, you think we will get him on the cheap or will that rat play hardball ?
  20. Saw this come up on my feed last night..league winning striker yet to hit his prime who's shit hot infront of goal - it almost seems sensible?
  21. Councillors are most unlikely to impose penalties on themselves, their friends and relations. Send the bill to Rangers. If they had done what they should have done, there would have been no greenfest.

Not long to go so imagine you'r the manager how would you set up your team to beat the hoops and what would you'r starting eleven be .
  23. A maiden means you don't score, mind, Compo.....
  24. Looks like parts of Glasgow were left in one almighty mess after the green brigade celebrations on Saturday I wonder if the Glasgow council will be after Celtic to pick up the bill like the did with Rangers after our last title win .
