Ongoing issues with UEFA (two sanctions and counting)
Bluedell replied to Bill's topic in Rangers Chat
The obsession with other clubs and what they do is what's got us into this situation. We had got rid of the offending songs for a while (and the atmosphere didn't suffer because of it and we didn't have to resort to Kum Ba Yah, believe it or not) but they crept back in because some fans could see that Celtic were given free reign. We need to decide ourselves what is and isn't acceptable and not base our standards on what other sub-standard clubs deem is acceptable. Likewise Fare. If it hadn't been them, it would have been someone else. Yes, they're biased but the bigger issue is that we're guilty. Clean up our act and THEN we can concentrate on others.- 419 replies

I think it should be possible to meet with FARE. I had a meeting with PIara Powar in the past, although that was when he was at Kick It Out. -

There was me thinking the punishment had come from UEFA. What do suggest? Caring on singing the songs and getting thrown out of Europe? -

And the Whataboutery isn't helping, mate. Yes, we're not being judged in the same way as others but we don't make the rules. UEFA do. We either abide by them or we don't compete in Europe. -

What matters is who was singing the songs at the game on question. It was fairly obvious to most at the stadium which area that was. It was the same at the last Euro game at Ibrox. -

If people have issues with what Celtic fans do then start complaining to UEFA. However what they do or do not get up to isn't relevant to our singing. We were warned that TBB was strictly forbidden but yet.... -

Maybe now people will stop singing TBB. -
A really difficult choice this time. There's 5 or 6 who could get it, but I'll go with Jack.

Having Rangers TV issues? Check link in this and match threads...
Bluedell replied to BEARGER's topic in Rangers Chat
I couldn't get on through my TV so had to watch it on my iPad. -
So impressed by his attitude tonight ( and this season so far) . He seems to have turned the corner.

And I believe all bookings get wiped after the next game.

Professional performance.

Good job!

It's strange that there's still be no announcement about the game being on the TV. Perhaps RTV have found that their income isn't sufficient to cover the costs of purchase of the rights and the game may not be available (legally) in the UK.
-
I thought it strange that we had 3 left backs too but Flanagan is cover for right back so we've got 4 players for the 2 full back positions. It does seem strange though that we've got 5 players going for the 2 wide forward positions but only 3 centre halves.

We should be making at least 9 changes from Thursday, but that should still be a very strong team. We need to take advantage of rotation against teams like East Fife to keep players fresh and free from injury for Thursday and to avoid burnout later in the season as we did in 2008 and 2016.

Is the game on the TV on Thursday?

Sounds about right for an #AllUnderOneBanner participant.

I don't have a problem with VAR. It's the new rules that are the problem. The chopped off Man City goal is a joke. The ball barely brushed an arm and it results in a goal that would have stood in any other season being disallowed.

Celtic Boys Club manager 'stuffed banknotes in boy's mouth'
Bluedell replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
I see Hollicom worked their magic again and the Daily Record had a child abuse story involving Motherwell on their front page. This on the same day that news of Celtic paying compensation broke? It's so transparent but at least papers like the Mail and The Times haven't his from the story. Don't buy the Record! -

I don't believe there's any need to wait. He's a class act and a fantastic signing. -

It's a difficult one. I saw on the FF poll that 7 players had more than 5% of the vote. Goldson was in with a shout for me, but got caught badly a few times late on, so I plumped for Ojo.

Given he's just signed for Midtjylland, I doubt they'd let him go. Interestingly enough, kaba has already had 3 clubs during 2019 (Elche, Dijon and Midtjylland) and I don't think he scored for Dijon or Midtjylland, but I do agree he looks a good player.
