No. Don't think so.

It's extremely unusual for a company owner just to gift cash to a company. They would normally do it by way of a share issue or lending the company money. The easiest way for Whyte to get cash into the club is for him to lend the cash via Wavetower. At the time of the club sale, MIH said ""Wavetower will also acquire the indebtedness of Lloyds Banking Group, the secured creditor, and is under an obligation to waive this debt in the foreseeable future, thereby strengthening the club's balance sheet." The bottom line is that the club would owe Whyte/Wavetower cash and they would just waive their right to it, meaning the club no longer owed the cash, however this is also an unusual treatment.

I wish someone would change the title of this thread. I keep thinking about: -

RYD is underfunded at the moment, so I can't see how the lotto funds mean extra expenditure on the youths. It just means that the shortfall for the annual budget is less, but I doubt that the budget gets increased. -
I wonder how Whyte is going to "invest" the cash? Will it be: 1. a share issue? 2. a gift? 3. a loan to be waived "in the foreseeable future"? Hopefully we will find out when the shareholder circular is issued.

So you are stating that Bain was defrauding the company. An extreme allegation, which, if true, has to result in a criminal investigation to recover the stolen funds. I await with bated breath.
-
Doesn't make it accurate though. The company was not in a "state of flux". The board of directors was intact and fully functioning. The question still stands as it's the directors who have the power to authorise and sign contracts and not a shareholder.

How as Chairman did he spectacularly fail at ensuring the club was run on a firm financial footing, when all the club saw during his chairmanship was an improvement in the club finances? He inherited a disaster when Murray ran away and it then improved.

So where is your information coming from? Edit: Also why would any new conditions require to be approved by the majority shareholder?

Why even give the bigot more publicity? -
I wonder where all this (mis?)information is coming from?

Hleb was a big disappointment at Birmingham. Not sure what the issue was.

How can Whyte resist, with these endorsements?

Hey, we get enough of your battles with Boss on RM. Don't bring them on here. :D

He was probably appointed last week, but Companies House only received the notification yesterday. The first I heard about it was when Leggat mentioned it a few days ago.

Donald McIntyre, the Rangers Finance Director, has been sacked according to reports.

Agreed. The question of loyalty when you are being offered a paycut is laughable.

He seems to have a (very large) bonus structure in place so that in good years he earns more than in bad years. I'd be surprised if he took a pay cut.

It's not a difficult concept to deal with. There are some things that should be publicised and some things that shouldn't. I want to know what the team is for the following day, but I don't want to know that EHD has been sent out to try and wind up Scott Brown for example. I want to know whether the club still has £22m of debt, but I don't need to know internal board room arguments, the publicising of which do the club no good. I want to know if the funds for transfers have been paid into the club or whether they will just be funded by debt, but I don't need to know the exact transfer budget as that can be used by others to hold the club over a barrel. I don't see that as being contradictory in the least.

Not sure why disagreeing with King being called a parasite means that I'm dubious about the takeover, although there are a number of unanswered questions about the whole thing that I look forwrd to receiving answers on (or at least more information). However I would have thought that most fans would want answers to the same questions.

It wasn't and it wasn't.

So how are they able to "fire" AJ? I don't believe that they can legally do that. Transparency? Does that include leaking information to a rag like the Daily Record to inform the fans about the suspension of 2 directors rather than formally releasing it? Perhaps it does, but it's not the way that things are normally conducted in a board room and it's not the way that I believe our club should be acting. We do not have the full facts and I'm not saying that the actions have not been justified but the release of snippets and innuendo to chosen members of the press could be done slightly differently.
