  1. I think he's made very dignified comments. He was his own worst enemy sadly. That comment was made before he came and I now see the truth of it.
  2. If he'd been fit could have been a great signing for us. Tragic as everyone has said. But we have had a habit of signing players with injury problems - Rozenthal fron Chile? for example.
  3. Do you know, you're right about him being ahead of his time. He was in the Beckenbauer school of sweeper, he just seemed to have all the time in the world.
  4. You are a wee bit harsh I think. Not sure he is that bad a defender.
  5. Bluenose McArthur has been outstanding of late in the EPL whereas Morrison I think has been hardly playing.
  6. You know what? Kenny M. would have had the exeperience and awareness to pass to Snoddy for a game-changing goal.
  7. I was proud of Lee Wallace tonight; nothing that happened was his fault. Unfortunately, taking my blue glasses off for a second, he is 3rd choice LB. Respect to him for sticking with us in the 3rd division when he could have ditched us to save his Scotland place. A worthy Rangers captain.
  8. Because gingernut picks Forrest on the wrong side. Opposite to where he has been doing ok for Keltic. When you consider the performance of the Thumb I am staring to agree with those who say Strach has green tinted specs.
  9. Bit late for us perhaps.. It also “notes that the fans of many clubs including Blackburn Rovers, Coventry City, Leeds United, Charlton Athletic and Blackpool, including clubs in Scotland, have lost faith in their clubs’ owners amid deep concerns about the future direction of their clubs”, “and calls for progress from the Government in legislating a robust fit and proper persons test”. It also calls for fan representation on football club boards. They allow MPs to draw attention to an event or cause but very few are actually debated.
  10. dB - the Davis referred to is not Steven but the great Harold Davis from the sixties! He was a sort of minder for Jim Baxter.
  11. Surely we can at least boycott Sports Direct. Organise a picket outside the stores if we think a large number of Rangers supporters are going to go. Get out the message that no Rangers supporter should buy anything from them.
  12. Recently the RoI players wore badges commemorating 1916 Easter Rising and the football authorities did not see it as political. So Fifa's policy is now in tatters through not being consistent. I think it would have been better if both our FA's had made it optional. My grandfather was in WW1 and I always bought a poppy to commemorate that. Now I feel it has gradually year on year been made political; first with a 2 minute silence where it used to be one; then with the call to include veterans of recent wars such as Afghanistan and Iraq, so that buying a poppy meant you gave at least tacit support to those wars. I think it has lost the simple message of honouring the dead with the increased commercialisation - I believe you can buy a poppy for £40 made from Somme bullets. Worst of all there is now an implied assumption that if you dont wear one you are somehow unpatriotic; I object to that. I would gladly buy a white poppy but I never see anyone selling them.
  13. We should strain every sinew to get this bastard away from our club. He represents not just everything wrong with the running of our club till last year but everything wrong with capitalism.
  14. Please, please , please don't let him be another John Fleck - I couldn't go through all that again.
  15. Lee Wallace was their coach and as a reward for their triumph he personally paid for a weeks holiday in Ibiza for the whole squad. The kind of thing we don't hear about often. It should also be remembered he stayed with us at some cost to his Scotland career. No fear - he'll start v England.
  16. As bad as that? Suppose they are hated because they have no tradition, an artificial club if you like.
  17. Because Scotland is not a club not the SFA and we have no other country to play for. Players of any ambition and pride want to pay for their country.
  18. All the 'H's were positives today: Halliday - showed why he was missed in the 5-1 Holt- box to box performance, need his running at people Hill - best game yet for us Hodson - never put a foot wrong
  19. Hill was with Dembele all the way - don't see how you blame him there.
  20. You wonder what the point of buying him was; he's not a direct replacement for anyone, not like he's a like-for-like sub. At St. J. he was effective as an outlet on the right and put a good few goals away too. If we don't play him, have we bought a player we don't need?
  21. I'm worried to death about today if I'm honest and fearing another humiliation. Not because I think Keltic are that much better than us - I don't - but because of our centre backs. I presume Wilson is injured? Can't understand why we have so many left-sided defenders, that in itself creates an imbalance. Was good to hear MW claim he made mistakes (leaving Halliday out last time was certainly one) but he seems wedded to 4-3-3 when I think with our defence we need 2 holding centre mids. Barton and Halliday would have been perfect (better than Brown and Bitton) so I suppose the nearest is Rossiter and Halliday. McKay seems to be well off form now which is a big concern. Keltic have a bigger squad but apart from Dembele there's really no one from their squad I would want in ours. Hoping Kenny can be our talisman again.
  22. The German side without 5 key players are still far too good for the Scottish champs. And to think there are some who don't want us to move to the Atlantic League but stay and fester in Scotland where we get no real competition.
  23. This could be construed as a Public Order offence under section 5 of said bill. He could certainly be arrested and charged as it is in a public place.
