  1. He probably wouldn't have had a sniff if McCabe had stayed, so that's softened the blow a little. Cannot be all that much wrong with the Murray Park youth policy with McKay, Perry, McCabe, Ness,Cole etc. Let's look forward to CharlieTelfer, a youngster I've heard praised by Mark Wotte.
  2. Why does this keep happening? It's like Man U with their 'Fergie time.'
  3. No - I was just trying to find text updates on the BBc website. i was disgusted that it was easier to find an update about a FOREIGN country than one about Scotland. I wish I could find out who to complain to at the Beeb; I hate the way they treat RoI as some sort of fifth home nation. Yes, they're a neighbour - but so are France.
  4. Agree with all the comments condemning the booing, as it was without doubt done because he plays for us. But - Scotland is my country and I will not turn my back on her just because a small group of petty RoI wannabees have an issue with us. What I do wish is for the RoI to lose whoever they play. You know the BBC covered their U21 game last night while virtually ignoring Scotland's. What does that tell you?
  5. Ian Black getting booed. Can't be Hibs fans booing at a former Heart because they didn't boo Webster - it must be because he plays for us! Disgusting whatever the reason - you do not boo your own players.
  6. Afraid Corrie's not on because Engerlund are playing.
  7. Gone right off Levein though I still support Scotland. Wallace is far better than Fox. Muat boost Balck's confidence to know he i9s only here as backup. Great man-management Levein.
  8. Understand your bitterness, but at their ages, at the peak of their careers, Div 3 football can only harm their international careers. It's Rangers' loss but the national teams gain. McCabe and Ness I am more annoyed about; staying with us could have progressed their careers on the contrary.
  9. Wallace should be in instead of Fox, if only for continuity's sake.
  10. Surely other people saw them too?
  11. Y, know we could win a QUADRUPLE this season: the Ramsdens, the Div 3, the League Cup and the Scottish. And all from the perspective of a giant killer! I originally wanted us to be in Div 1 but now I think if any moves take place to put us in SPL next season we should just play the sporting integrity card and work our way up through the leagues.Wouldn't that GIRU them?
  12. Should you not be hating CW more? It was his failure to pay PAYE that propelled us into administration. Although you could say that SDM did a very poor job of investigating CW's credentials.
  13. Actually that "We don't do walking away" could be fixed to the players' tunnel in much the same way as "This is Anfield" is at Liverpool.
  14. Presumably that's because the transfer ban kicks in then. I still don't think we need to strengthen that much even for Div 2, just hang on to what we've got.
  15. I'm very sorry but having read the letter on the link you posted I can see nothing that amounts to a threat or that would alert the police - they seem merely to be asking for clarification about SPL rules. I'm not gainsaying your opinion re the trust - just that I fail to see anything incriminatory in findlay's letter.
  16. I'd have preferred Beattie - more actual football in him not just a target man.
  17. What rubbish. Ness, Hutton, Wylde, Mcleod,Perry, Wilson just for starters. the problem is persuading the youth to stay here a decent length of time. Kevin Kyle? Don't make me laugh. All this will do is discourage what youth we have left. Despite the limitations of Jimmy Sinclair Murray Park has yielded enough gems.
  18. Neither do I.The squad we had already should walk Div. 3 Far, far, superior to Gretna and they waltzed it. What on earth do we need these players for? Div 3 is the ideal proving ground for Little, Perry, McLeod, McKay, and Hemmings.
  19. Ally is right - Wallace is much better than Danny Fox who he has lost out to. Apart from him though we no longer have any players who can be considered Scotland contenders: Jig is in the veteran stage and Broadfoot was never really good enough if we're honest. Hutton maybe in the future.
  20. Assuming you are right (and I'm not getting into that argument again), then I would have been much more likely to support GB if there had been some Scottish involvement. I can't believe that Steven Fletcher or Barry Bannan or Steven Naismith are not good enough to make the final cut. It was disingenuous of Pearce to say that his decisions were footballing ones - IMO it was just spite.
  21. You're forgetting that FIFA are looking for any excuse to merge the 4 nations. While that doesnt bother England (they will continue to call themselves England) I'm bloody sure I dont want to risk a Scotland team disappearing from view.
  22. Or enemies (not just the Keltic ones0 will no doubt use the chant of 'newco', 'newco' to wind us up. Just ignore them. At least we've not been named Glasgow Rangers. We are THE Rangers!
  23. Explain please? Do you mean Berwick Rangers?!
  24. I've heard a lot of good things promised for young Lewis McLeod. Anyone have any info. on him? What position does he play in midfield?
  25. Of course.
