  1. And that's just 2 to start with.
  2. Absolutely spot on Rab. Kings statement intimated he knew MW was touting himself around England for ages yet we have no continuity plan of succession in place which has now cost us 6 points to date.
  3. While Messrs King, Park & Robertson were not on the field tonight, they are as much to blame for this inevitable defeat as the incompetent interim manager and gutless players. While they fanny about talking about DoF, long term strategy, blah blah blah, the team is crumbling in front of our eyes and while we got away with it against Morton, just, the two defeats were as predictable as a Wilson tackle being mistimed. Had they been properly prepared for Warburtons expected resignation, or been professional football board people, the new man (temp or perm) would have now overseen two good away victories against the two sides with the worst current form in the league, which I suppose now goes to us. If this board does not have a new manager, and it better be a feckin good appointment too, in place in time to prepare and select a side for our next game in 5 days time, then how can we trust them with anything again? Just seen that second goal again, the Wilson/Kiernan/Wes trio of mediocrity is truly embarrassing. For Murty to have selected any of the 3 is alarming, for him to have selected all 3 is outrageous and he must not be allowed anywhere near our first team ever again.
  4. That's because he is a terrible defender BH
  5. Don't know how you can excuse they two Norris, been just as bad as the rest IMO.
  6. Well I said if we left Murty in charge after the Dens debacle we would continue to lose. Seems everyone on here is Nostradamus just now
  7. Said it for about 100 games now, neither Wilson nor Kiernan are even average defenders. Put the two together and you can GUARANTEE goals will be conceded to even the worst of teams.
  8. Back to normal Wes goalkeeping after Rob insists he can do just as bad a job as Wilson
  9. Well I'll be damned. Wes in important save shocker after routine Wilson error.
  10. And the rest have contributed nothing!
  11. On another note, I see Blackburn Rovers sacked Owen Coyle YESTERDAY and have appointed Tony Mowbray TODAY. That's a total of ONE day it took them to appoint a manager. One, uno, ein, un, una. Today is day 16 since Warbutons agent had a meeting with Robertson to discuss their departure, meaning we have known we need to appoint a new manager for 16 days now, with absolutely no sign of an imminent appointment as our season crumbles around our arse. We have allowed ourselves to be sidetracked by this garbage about a Director Of Football - WE HAVE NO F**KING MANAGER TO DIRECT!!! We have another tough game in TWO days time and still no appointment. This is simply not good enough from our board, who seem to take an age to make any decision, be it three months to sack Barton, a week to accept MW's resignation, and now this shambles where they have fannied about talking about another position when the most important position at our (or any) club remains vacant.
  12. Trained like a beast, played like a bHeast. If Murty has Senderos fit and available and not only selected Kiernan in front of him, but also picked Wilson for the bench ahead of, well, everyone, then he goes further down in my estimations than the very low starting point I had with him.
  13. The board of our club MUST get someone in NOW or they will be accused of dereliction of duty. there is no way we should be going into a third game with an inexperienced youth coach in charge of our (fading) runners-up spot challenge. This someone must be experienced enough to turn this around before the summer window, and popular enough to convince 40,000 bears to renew their season tickets. I'm glad i'm not on the board!
  14. I was raging with Murty's team selection yesterday at 2.15pm when I heard it, and announced I expected us to lose. The team lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with all the wrong players in all the wrong positions. Selecting Kiernan, Halliday, and Miller was all bad enough for me, but to play Hyndman in a deep midfield role after 2 good performances in a more advanced role and a poor performance in that defensive role last week was clearly wrong. The game passed him by. Selecting Halliday at all was a mistake, his ability and confidence levels are such that he should see no first team action again this season, and the exit door thereafter. I am assuming Senderos was injured (anyone clarify?) and that Kiernan had to play, but yet again he has shown that last seasons form where he was clearly not good enough for the Scottish Championship has been carried through, yet up a level his errors are punished even more. Then we have the "3", of Waghorn, Miller and McKay. two centre forwards and a playmaker in a midfield trio. So do we play McKay in the number 10 role where his creativity can be put to good use? No, we stick him out wide with no support and play the uncreative Miller as the creative number 10, despite him having none of the attributes to play there successfully. I was into double figures for passes which didnt find a Rangers player from Miller before I stopped counting with plenty of the game remaining. If anyone doubts that, the full match is readily available for you to check. 6 league goals in 25 games, truly awful. Waghorn is a central striker, not a wide forward (certainly not a right-sided forward) and not a midfield player with defensive responsibilities. While he has been poor, he is still our top overall scorer this season despite missing a lot of gametime or being played out of position. Garner is whole-hearted but has no quality. Just in case my rant missed out on our utterly useless keeper, yet another really poor goal conceded from "Wes the timewaster" who not only costs us goals with his awful positioning and concentration, but costs us around 5 minutes each match with his delays of game from goal kicks and passbacks. Thanks for what you left us Mark, an utter shambles full of fully-contracted English 4th tier players. Thanks a heap.
  15. If we have a Director of football who will make all the purchases and all the football decisions, a Chairman who wants to make all the big decisions, Andrew Dickson who does all the player contracts and legal stuff then it begs the question - what does this leave to do for Stewart Robertson for his huge salary and bonuses? Do we have a Martin Bain mark two?
  16. I wouldnt be too unhappy with McInnes given the options currently being discussed. He did manage to get a side to score 7 goals in one league game last night. This season to date we have only managed to score more than TWO goals on one occasion (3-0 v Kille). It takes us a month to score 7!!
  17. Thanks guys. I have now deleted tapatalk (didn't like it anyway) so I will see if that works.
  18. Good piece Frankie. Did King not say 5/6 players to get second place and Europe and a further 5/6 to play in Europe and challenge for the title though? I think you have picked that up wrong. "In season two we would further invest to be competitive in the SPFL and qualify for Europe at the end of the season. Our realistic expectation was to come second. This was to be achieved by signing five or six players of a quality that improved the squad that won the Championship. In season three we would again invest in five or six players that further improved the squad to compete for the title and progress in Europe."
  19. Your not going to get a good manager without a promised decent budget. A cut-price manager means we will not be giving a good budget. The poll is talking about two things that cannot happen together.
  20. On the contrary, it is vitally important that we Rangers fans complete this survey, telling them exactly what we (should) think of strict liability and their back-door attempts at yet more bias and corruption being shown towards their vile club. If we manage to get a very high number that completes this and says no to strict liability, where does that leave them? We must play the game here, not shut the door and stuff our fingers in our ears.
  21. The simple thing is that when King is talking about his investment in Rangers, he is talking about how much of his personal wealth he has spent on his "Rangers project". To his mind that will include all monies paid out on share purchases to gain his shareholding and ultimately, control of the club, as well as these loan notes that are to be converted when the time is right. I dont think he separates between money spent on share purchase which went outwith the club, and money spent to keep the club going and to improve the club. to him, it is all money spent on Rangers. He is of course wrong to speak of it like this, especially as a plc chairman, but he never was the sharpest tack........
  22. Rangers 2 Morton 0 FGS McKay
  23. What came first -the chicken or the egg? The age old question took a Rangers twist yesterday when the club announced officially that the manager, his assistant & the head of recruitment had all resigned. Much has since been written about the counter-claim, the various leaks and drip-feeding of snippets of information, mis-information, and downright fiction. It seems that a breakdown in trust and relations between the chairman and the manager has been months in the making, culminating in the events of this week. The chicken and egg question comes in what came first -King's lack of confidence in MW after a disastrous start to this campaign and a poor summer transfer window, or Warburtons lack of confidence in King for having to make do with second or third choices due to lack of funds or poor contract negotiations with targets. Both have been guilty of briefing against the other privately while putting on a brave face publicly. A lot of this seasons questions that have had us supporters scratching our heads are now making more sense with hindsight and conjecture. Has the players poor form been partly due to them knowing about MW whoring himself (via the agent) to all English jobs that come along? Football is a small world and inside info and gossip is rife. Is this why some players chose not to come either in the summer or the window just closed? Or has the frustration caused by a lack of support for the manager spilled over to the squad? I certainly don't know the answers to any of the above and, like the Barton affair, doubt we will get the truth anytime soon. What is clear-ish is that both parties have handled this shambolicly. That our club is, again, a laughing stock and making all the wrong headlines for all the wrong reasons. If we thought the club handled the Barton affair badly, this makes that look like a minor tif. It is clear they won't be back. What happens from here with what we have to pay in termination payments (anything from nothing to £1.5M) will again probably not be announced at any point. Our only chance of silverware is on the line tomorrow in a crucial Scottish Cup tie which we now have an inexperienced under 20's coach (and Celtic fan) Graeme Murty in charge of. There have been many comparisons between PLG & MW in terms of overhauling the entire club over Warburton's tenure, the final act better not be a repeat of the Scottish cup tie that our then youth coach, Ian Durrant, had to step up and manage at Dunfermline a decade ago. I have read a lot about bringing in a short-term fix to the end of the season and then making a "proper" appointment at that time. Again, history can tell us this doesn't work. We only need to go back 2 years to see the evidence of this, when short-term fix McColl failed to see it through as we were thrashed in the play-off against Motherwell after coming only third in the second tier of Scottish football. The added component this time is the very early, and vitally crucial to our whole season and finances, Europa League qualifiers that start barely a few weeks after our final league match or Cup Final. I was angry at our lack of permanent signings last month as I felt we had to have the vast majority of our first team players in and settled to give us the best chance of success to the group stages, however recent events have shown why this was the case and is far more understandable, if still damaging to our chances. I am not going to suggest a name to be the new manager, but I hope it is a permanent appointment whoever the board choose. The Warburton era is over, a lot sooner than we hoped when the talk was of a magic hat. It turns out it was his disappearing trick that had the fans gasping in amazement at the end.
  24. And STILL we give this paper access to our manager, players, Directors etc. BAN THE DAILY RECORD FROM IBROX
  25. The main reason for the lack of goals this season is that he continually picks Miller for his central striker, who is then nowhere near the goals often enough to be a goal threat. 6 goals in 24 games for the main striker in a team creating 20-30 chances per game (according to MW's stats) is the worst possible return. The reason we scored much more goals last season is that we had Waghorn in the central striker role, and other players not afraid to shoot when in decent positions. We also got a lot more free kicks and penalties because we were far more offensive in nature and asked many more questions of the opponents defence. This season we dont get in and around the box anywhere near enough, we are far more content to play from side to side 30 yards out than last season when we would far more often play the 1-2's into the box from any angle. The full backs chipped in with 15-20 goals between them, and the midfielders scored regular goals as well. Our full backs dont get into the box anywhere near as often this year, and our midfielders rarely run beyond the striker into the box. I think that is because our defence is so bad they know they need to be there to help them more than just push forward. Drop Miller out the team, play Dodoo or Waghorn up front with Garner in a twin strike force and watch the goals for column increase regularly.
