  1. smith seems to have a few blind spots in the side at the moment. mcculloch brings nothing to the team imo and broadfoot is nothing more than a 1st division defender. Playing novo up front on his own is beyond belief too. Boyd has been lambasted for his performances up front on his own this season and smith has him fourth down the line even behind Mcculloch who has yet to score a goal in the role. Am i the only one who is seriously embarrassed supporting Rangers this season? I know we had it hard for quite a few years there but to lower ourselves to the level we are playing is beggars belief. Bill Struth must be turning in his grave at the minute. My biggest concern is that if we need to turn to a more attacking formation we wont be able to. We are so one dimentional its unbelievable. And sooner or later we are going to get punished big time and i dont just mean in one game. I just hope walter can read the warning signs, they are there for all to see.
  2. all we can do is take 1 game at a time. we have a heavy work load ahead of us and we will only get distracted if we look too much into the future.
  3. yeah dundee utd is the official shout.
  4. it would be a real kick in the nuts to the mhanks if that were to happen. Ive always maintained brown made a big mistake going to the dark side and would have developed into a far better player had he come to us instead. One thing is sure for the boy, he aint going to develop at torbet towers.
  5. shaun maloney and nakamura managed to win it by playing half a season so i dont see why hutton cant.
  6. the post was taken from the celtic underground. go over and take a look. itl keep you amused for hours!
  7. the sad thing is that they actually believe this shit!
  8. Establishment Club Grab The Advantage Written by Harry Brady a typical mhanks view to why they wont win the league Those of us who are a bit longer in the tooth than the Green Brigade will know that the establishment always comes out to protect their own in a tight title race. Regardless of our performance Saturday, and opinions on the manager's ability, it cannot be doubted that despite the "fixture chaos" matters have contrived to give Rangers a competitive advantage this season and the old maxim that cheating doesn't pay is nonsense. We should have known what was coming earlier in the season when the first game between us resulted in 9 bookings at Ibrox. As I pointed out in Punters Corner, the number of bookings for us in that game were completely at odds with our record in all other games this season. But one of the most essential aspects of football is momentum, everyone says that winning is a habit and breeds a winning attitude. It is also well accepted that playing at home also gives you a competitive advantage and what situation are we looking at tonight? As we know both Old Firm games played in the league have occurred at Ibrox - a competitive advantage. Also out of 30 games played, we have had 16 away (inc 2 at Ibrox) and 14 at home. Rangers have had 17 at home and just 12 away. Not their fault you might say as the weather played a big part - well no. They paid Gretna off to postpone the away game at Fir Park and their away tie before the Scotland v Italy game was postponed. Moreover what made this tie so significant was that it was an away leg immediately following a Champions League tie. Their record under McLeish and Smith away following a European tie is very poor so having this game rearranged was a massive plus for them. Then there is the Scotland fiasco. They withdrew 4 players from the Scotland squad who ALL played and started on Saturday, despite Fifa rules allowing the SFA to prevent all 4 from playing is they suspected that they were not really injured. The only conclusion to this is that cheating pays.
  9. should do it with the whole stadium for the next Uefa cup game. it would look amazing
  10. My opinion on scott brown is that we had a lucky escape. Steve Davis albeit a year older does everything it says on browns tin. give him time to settle? at 25 k a week he should be displaying the goods week in week out, but he doesnt even come close. In fact he gets poorer with every game i see him play. thompson has been critisised from a very early stage in his career at Ibrox but brown seems to be able to hide behind the still developing tag. I dont think he will ever live up to the expectations placed on him.

have any bets on at work with any thims on the old firm game? ive got a fiver a goal bet with one which paid off rather handsomely the last time and have 30 quid on the league with the same guy. he also bet me a tenner that lyon would cuff Rangers in france and gave me the benefit of the draw and a goal start! just wondered if anyone else had anything on the go.
  24. spot on pete. as a teenager my nerves would be tingling for a week waiting on the fixture but these days i have to go and do a full shift at work before the match which really takes the excitement out of it for me.
