Its great that were top of the league, league cup winners, in the quarters of the Uefa cup and still in the Scottish cup. In fact you would have bitten your own hand off for that lot at the start of the season. all so soon after the disasterous moonbeam era of Paul leguen. But i have to ask, Should we be taking a bit more pride in the quality of our game play? To watch Rangers at the moment you need a skin like a rhino to see the game through, in fact if walter & co turned up to play in your back garden you would try and sell your house! We are terrible to watch. There is very little flair or immagination in our game play. Our performances in the Ufea cup alone have left a lot to be desired as it seems we are tring not to lose rather than win. As for the League Cup final, it was every bit as embarrasing as our away performance against Bremen. No will to win what so ever. defend for your lives and hope to get a lucky break, which we did on a few occasions throughout the match. Now im not ungrateful for where we are at the moment but I will say that i am being bored to death with every game that goes by. Our standard and Quality of play is well below what i would call Rangers class. We have the personell to play more attractive football but we choose not to. We have the ability to be better an i certainly hope walter changes his ways fast. You can only grind out so many results in one season and i think weve had our fill already. we can and really should be a lot better.

you would think someone as ugly as john hartson would have to pay for sex nevermind have a wife!

so yet again our manager opts to leave boyd rotting on the bench and plays Mcculloch who has been occupying the outside left position for most of the season in the lone striker role. Then he brings on darcheville who is plainly not match fit. And with a last throw of the dice Boyd is finally brought on as the match runs away from us. I said in an earlier post that Smith should sort out his problem with boyd, whatever it is. But the tea lady in the murray park canteen will get a place in the starting 11 before boyd these days, that is very plain for all to see. It almost cost us today and if our manager continues with his trend of not playing boyd it will cost us the league, of that i have no doubt. Its called cutting off your nose to spite your face walter. Sort out the situation with boyd pronto or you will end up in second place.

hes no worse than cousin in that role. smith made a comment the other day defending cousins lack of involvement in certain games and justified his involvement by stating hes always good for a goal. the very same can be said about boyd. there is obviously something going on behind the scenes where boyd is concerned and it should be sorted out immediately. either play him or get rid. if smith doesnt sort it out it will come back and bite him on the arse big time. we got lucky yesterday but it wont always be the case and questions will be asked the next time if we dont get that last minute goal when boyd is on the bench.

Gretna 1 : 2 Rangers - Player Ratings and MoM Poll
gisabeer replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
didnt think anyone deserved special praise last night. Burke had a good first half but dissapeared in the second. Naismith looked dangerous but didnt create anything. Adam, Hemdani and cousin where all very suspect and could have easily been subbed at half time. But the nearside linesman stole the show and could have cost us the points with some second rate decisions. how he missed the keeper outside the box with the ball in his hands is beyond me. I wont even bother to get started on the penalty claims. -
as far as i know both webster and smith will be playing in a reseve team fixture on the 21st against kilmarnock. as for the transfer fiasco involving webster, its anyones guess when it will be sorted out.
