  1. Agreed - Much as I've always stood up for him, there is no way Boyd would have scored that goal today - pace, strength, two touches and then the shot. Boyd might have scored with the shot but he would never have got there to deliver it. Very noticable when Lafferty was moved wide left how he tended to drift out of things, he needs to play through the middle.
  2. Looking back through your previous posts, I can see it must have taken quite an effort to put all that together, some of it in the right order too. Not very clever though, is it?
  3. Thanks rbr, you shine like a beacon amongst the morons.
  4. Oh very good. I always enjoy flushing out a true wordsmith. Do people really still say jog on?
  5. At least someone is talking sense. I can see the interest and enjoyment and I downloaded it myself. All I ever queried was describing it as a "fantastic achievement". I'll take the rest of the comebacks with some of the salt that was being cast around earlier.
  6. OK then, I'll ask again, where's the connection to Erskine? As I've already said to you, if there is one then I'm all for this - if more downloads means more support then it is indeed an achievement. I haven't been able to find any mention of Erskine other than your own but I'd be delighted if you answer the question.
  7. It's not considered trivial, it IS trivial. However, that doesn't make it uninteresting, I just questioned whether there was anything to it that could justify being described as an "achievement". Despite offering this insight into your inner psyche, you haven't actually added anything other than a need to find things to be positive about. But we all knew that already eh? Some here are claiming the campaign is rasing funds for our troops, when it appears in fact that it isn't. It looks like 13 pages of backslapping - I thought I'd let some light in and some wind out of the system before you all explode.
  8. You can use your salt any way you want. It's a quote from the Scotsman, which may not exactly be the best newspaper in the world but I don't think they're in the habit of just inventing attributable statements. They would, however, have been well able to guess what sort of answer this rheptile would give if asked the question. No one is claiming Doherty is currently talking for Tina Turner ... but I didn't see too many expressions of denial from the Tina Turner camp either ... although her website does currently carry a mention of this "campaign". Why not, she's making easy money from it.
  9. After a quick look, I can't see any mention of a charity benefiting from this.
  10. Tina Turner's publicist, Bernard Doherty, said: "Yawn. Tina has retired gracefully and is probably sitting in her mansion in the south of France with a Pina Colada. "She couldn't give a monkey's about Rangers bloody football club and a song she recorded 20 years ago. "She wouldn't be interested in supporting the campaign - she's far too sophisticated."
  11. I didn't realise some of the money went to Erskine - in which case it IS an achievement. How much of the money spent goes to these causes, I can't find any mention of it elsewhere.
  12. I'm not upset. It was a genuine question. It might be a bit of fun but I just can't see this as any kind of achievement. On anything but a very superficial level it just seems like a fairly pointless exercise.
  13. Achievement, what's been achieved? I hope I'm not just being cynical for the sake of it but, honestly, what's the achievement?
  14. A fantastic achievement ... I don't get it ... why is this fantastic?
  15. Someone must be at it here. I may be an unreconstructed dinosaur but, while I'm the first to admit Rangers don't have any problems signing catholics, O'Brien is a celtic-supporting pape who took the same road as McGayday and turned his back on his country to play for his beloved Oirland. He's an ethnic Rangers hater and there is as much chance of him being accepted at Ibrox as me scoring a hat trick against Hibs on Sunday. Even in these strange, handwringing times, we're still Rangers.
  16. Just like to add a few words to the ether in support of these achievements. Congratulations to both Walter and Davie for richly deserved awards.
  17. The best bit about Walters statement was that he mentioned celtic by name.
  18. It's about time someone told it like it is. Well done Walter, write that letter.
  19. Maintain composure troops, we won't fail.
  20. Put it this way, would you swap our place for their's?
  21. Another suicide bomb opportunity goes a-beggaring.
  22. I guess the kit manufacturer we need to be with is the one that realises most money for Rangers, which is less easy to judge without a lot of insight into the deal.
