To be fair, the words "great player" and "workmanlike player" are yours alone. On the other hand, "gushing admiration" were the words I chose because that's what I thought it was. Since there probably isn't such an absolute as "good player", what option is there but to compare Miller to players many of us have seen and can use as benchmarks?
-
The only question is: is he a sgood as the players we might have signed instead of him?
-
Has he been a good signing? Compared with who? Is he, for example, as good a signing as Colin Stein? As good a signing as Dado Prso? As good a signing as Michael Mols? No, of course not. Then is he as good a signing as Kyle Lafferty? As good a signing as Farncis Jeffers ... or Egil Ostenstad? Yes, of course he is. So is he good ..... or is he just not bad? What's your yardstick? Is he good for you but bad for me?
-
Don't worry mate, I'm prepared to be harsh, even incredibly harsh if the need arises.
-
Where's the captain in that list? Davie Weir would get my vote ahead of all but one on that list. WTF is Kenny Miller on the list for .... amusement?
-
Calm down lads. Miller got one thing right on Sunday, otherwise he was as profligate and talentless as ever. He did the hard thing right and not for the first time but, please, don't anyone get so carried away as to say Kenny Miller is a good football player. That would be ridiculous and would fly in the facte of what everyone can see with their own eyes. Grateful for that goal on Sunday? Of course. Congratulations to Kenny Miller? Naturally. But hold the gushing admiration because he still couldn't trap a bag of cement or hit a hillside with his banjo.

Yes, it's the ultimate kick in the nadgers for Liewell, gibbon fizzer and every whining bheast who have been on about the establishment. Very smart. There's definitely been a more active response from Rangers since Murray decamped to Edinburgh. Walter in particular has been playing a blinder.

4, 16, 17, 36, 39, 44 But ffs keep it to yourself.

It probably goes without saying that I'm glad I posted the quoted words before yesterday's cup final. However, the 9-man win over St Mirren showed real character and no one other than Walter Smith is to thank for that.

Stupidity can be such an effective defence against the colliewobbles.

Wonder how many of those who think that was fantastic would stand up and sing TBB today? Right and wrong hasn't changed, only our willingness to be compromised.
-
You've done a good job here wabash. The more I reflect on it the more I'm convinced this whole affair is riven with bullshit from beginning to end. Sometimes it needs a shake.

Tell me something .... do you support the Ellis ownership of Rangers?
-
Don't go congratulating yourself too soon. Basing your victory on something that isn't ever going to happen is proving nothing. Give the number to someone else on the same basis you obtained it and let's see if the same guy answers when they call. Give it to Frankie, give it to Canadianbacon on RM, give it to admin at VB. Then we'll see.
-
I'll be convinced when I see some evidence so if it's available then let's see some. I've made my doubts plain and a few you have taken an opposite view, based I'm guessing on no more evidence than I have. I'll have no problem admitting I'm wrong ...... if I'm wrong ....... but at the moment it seems far fetched.
-
So do you have Ellis' mobile number? Did you cold call him?
-
Does anyone actually swallow the story that this Northampton Loyal guy is given Ellis' mobile number and just calls him up out of the blue and gets all this information? Am I the only one who thinks there is a rather large pile of shite circulating around this topic? Has Walter Mitty reincarnated in our own back yard?

Well hello dear, how have you been all this time? We thought you'd given up. I see the passage of time has added invention to your repertoire, which is nice. The rest has obviously been good for you.

I also didn't actually ask anyone to shut up but I'm perfectly willing to serve as an excuse if one is needed.

Wake me up when this madness actually comes to something.

No no, just a casual association that found its way on to paper. Almost by itself really. I'm always flexible and willing to manoeuvre in any exchange of views.

I'd rather a canvas lean-to than that shed with sticks nailed on its walls. I like to celebrate the modern too, just not modern shite.

That made me laugh out loud. :spl:

Eh? It's a fooking dreadful piece of post-bollocks shabbyism. Fabulous on the inside however.
