  1. Then why float the idea at all? As rbr says above, season ticket sales is all anyone needs to think about to understand this bit of non-news.
  2. Who actually knows anything about Ellis ... or his intentions for the club? What exactly is his motivation - it's a hell of a lot of money not to have one. While the status quo isn't much of an option, it does concern me a little that there still hasn't been any real information on which to judge anything about Ellis. I'm glad something is happening but I'll keep my powder dry as far as Ellis is concerned until there is actually some basis for taking an opinion. As for Murray being president, ffs can't that bastard just go?
  3. Sorry old son, amongst all the afaics and the weird goldmines I quite lost any sense of what you were on about. Was there a question? If it was about any reference to BD then I already answered it, clearly. If there's another question in there then how about just asking it in plain language without all the silly remarks.
  4. Now you're resorting to insults. Are you having a bad day?
  5. The old mind-reader-with-an-axe-to-grind thing eh? Interesting in itself but hardly worth closer attention.
  6. Yes, it's interesting how even-handed he's suddely decided to become. Having attacked only Rangers from every possible angle, he's now offering an apology to celtic as well. It mostly just shows how sensitive the US media is to criticism and how worthwhile it was for VB to make that criticism.
  7. Ha ha, I guess you just needed to be sure eh? Now I see where you're coming from but no, I wasn't referring to your post in particular, here or on other forums.
  8. No, and I've no idea why you would think that. Do you have a persecution complex in the making?
  9. It's interesting to see there are still some people who hanker after style over substance, parading words on a website rather that on a letter of complaint. Vanguardbears has done more over the last couple of years to address our detractors than all other Rangers groups put together ... and then some. To the extent that some much larger websites have been shamed into outright animosity and refused to take part in pro-Rangers activities while continuing to line their pockets with hit-money. I guess it just depends what you think is really important, doing it or talking about doing it? I ask myself, what other Rangers group would have written that or any other letter to the Boston Globe? Or on a daily basis take head-on the mass of lies and anti-Rangers propaganda, wherever it comes from? So while VB might not be the place everyone would feel comfortable in terms of style or trivia, it's at least worth acknowledging that they have contributed something important that no one else seems able or willing to give.
  10. Are you sure it's not ... Funds Available for Limited Players?
  11. Nah, just a fact.
  12. The efiiciency of the language is far less important than the fact it was written at all. Thankfully there are a few around who believe action still has a place amongst the words. Excellent stuff from Vanguardbears, who today stand head and shoulders above any other group in the Rangers community.
  13. Yes, fingers crossed a Rangers man gets there before him.
  14. All I can think to say is where were these fans' representatives when speaking out might have actually made some difference?
  15. While you might not like what I posted, at least try to deal with it rationally. First, I defended no one, least of all King, nor did I give any indication I thought he was "fine" - I don't. Second, I made no reference to Spiers at all, only you brought him into this. Third, King does have a well paid job and I'm sure he badly wants to keep it. So, where exactly did I go wrong? You shouldn't just lash out every time someone tries to introduce a different perspective.
  16. Like a lot of real life, once the rot sets in it takes one hell of an effort to get it out again. Many of the names you mentioned in the OP are products of the same disease that set in 20 years ago, when the principles that had guided the club over decades were set aside in favour of crass self-interest - even some of the names that might otherwise be seen as real Rangers men. The day I first heard it said that David Murray was the most important man at Rangers was the day I knew we were heading for trouble. His supporters can say all they like about shiny new stadium or NIAR or Gascoigne or whatever - the price of all that has been the loss of a great club culture and the betrayal of all those who had fought so hard to make Rangers what we once were. To me it has been an unacceptable price and I'd give it all away today if I could have the Rangers back. Ellis, Duffy, King .... all just more of the same and God help us if any of them take over. David Murray has been an unmitigated disaster for Rangers but his legacy will be twice as bad if we can't climb out of his shadow when the chance eventually comes. These people being mentioned as possible suitors are from the same rancid stable as the Great Blowhard and are no more capable of undoing the damage than Murray himself. I just hope for the sake of Rangers there is still someone out there who understands what we were before Murray and the absolute importance of sweeping away every last trace of this awful period.
  17. He's trying very hard to keep a well paid job right now and will print whatever he thinks will be seen by his bosses as likely to stimulate better sales. Rangers, celtic, who cares - when car, mortgage, holiday and kids schooling need paid, football doesn't even get thought about. And the truth is we'd all do the same.
  18. I don't know about anyone else but I'm really gonna miss Nacho when he leaves. He's all heart, like a minature Marvin Andrews. It's been a real pleasure.
  19. Who's actually surprised? The week we win the SPL title, out comes a doomsday story in the Scottish press. Same old game, same old script. I'm not even giving this passing attention.
  20. Absolutely agree. He looks to be quite popular with the rest of the squad and good for dressing room morale in general.
  21. Can we mention Lafferty when Boyd chooses to leave Rangers and play for another club?
  22. Agreed, this was less manic perhaps, but certainly no less enjoyable.
  23. ........ and your point is ....... or isn't perhaps?
  24. We had four years to prepared for Tannadice.
  25. Just one more fvkk up by that bitter bheast. Wherever he is today, I hope he's hurting that little bit more than yesterday.
