But only one site bans outright even mentioning the name of another Rangers forum. You couldn't make it up ..... but you keep trying. Why not take your forum prejudices back where they came from.

Good read that. Just want to clarify that our directors have a responsibility in law to act in the best interests of the company and its shareholders. They only have a moral responsibility to take supporters into account and morals are hard things to tie down in business.

I doubt very much if Donald Muir is feeling much pressure to do any explaining.

Sorry but that is the respomsibility of the chairman. Why would you expect Muir in particular to do the communicating?

I've no idea who the author is and have no opinion about him? But it is a good piece of writing and bears a more realistic appraisal of Donald Muir than the headless "representatives" who have so far made yet another arse of themselves in the way they've promoted and directed this protest. Well done Boss, the Rangers board should indeed be protested against, particularly our chairman, whoever that might be. Donald Muir and Lloyds bank are not our enemies, despite the hysterical urban myths intended to demonise them.

Aye, there's always that excuse I suppose. Mind you, it couldn't have happened to a more deserving piece of work than our very own Deputy Dawg.- 36 replies

I think you have it in one. McLelland clearly didn't take his turn at the helm with sufficient anonimity so this time we have a chairman who is so far removed as to be beyond reach altogether. Only at Rangers.- 36 replies

The chairman must bear responsibility for communication with the support. This absentee landlord scenario isn't helping things at all.

Bain Holds Positive Fans Meeting

I think the biggest fukking joke is this mystery chairman of ours who hides away at his day job in America and provides a clearly anxious support with even less information than his predecessor. As the days pass in silence I find myself wondering if there's any point to this invisible man - or was it just his turn to take the hamster home?- 36 replies

.....and I'm still enjoying watching you wait so patiently.

I don't know if you're choosing your words here but has the protest against Lloyds and Muir turned into a casual demonstration against no one?
-
Wasn't intended to be helpful. It was strictly provocative. If you want helpful you definitely need to look elsewhere.

Oh good, I'm so glad he's an ordinary fan and won't outshine the average punter. Much more reassuring than having someone who is appropriately skilled.

The more you read and hear, the muddier the water becomes. The only consistent aspect is that all news comes second or third hand. You never seem to get the facts directly from those involved, which I suppose isn't altogether surprising but doesn't really justify the amount of spinning by the various observers and message boys who have sprung up in every corner. Btw, hope to fukk we win tonight.- 36 replies

I don't want you to think I simply haven't noticed your post but I really can't summon up the will to offer a sensible response to a post like that. Sorry. -

I agree it looks like we've been thrown a few cheap crumbs which will satisfy no one. It seems to show that the Rangers directors recognise they need to communicate but either don't know how to or (more likely) are unwilling to take the support seriously. They need a profound lesson in fan anger.- 36 replies

I actually feel some relief at reading this. Not for the specific content of the discussion but because it took place. Edit: I don't mean to infer in any way that pressure shouldn't now be applied to ensure more credible response from the Rangers board. I'm not sure the origin of this report but it looks to me like we should be expecting a much more thorough picture from Rangers.- 36 replies

Statement From Rangers Supporters in Respect of the Protest
maineflyer replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
To my mind rbr is right that we need information. I also believe there should be open and robust protest, which should have taken place years ago. However, I feel any protest must be directed clearly at the current chairman and his fellow directors. These are the people who owe a duty of care to the wider shareholding community (I'm one) and the supporters in general. These are the people who should be answering any questions. In fact, it's utterly shameful that Alistair Johnston hasn't sought to allay fears or at least offer regular and honest appraisals of the evolvig situation. I cannot agree with the misguided protests against Lloyds bank or even specifically targeting Donald Muir - at least from what appears to be known so far. What I've read so far about the planned protest hasn't been impressive. What is it about the Rangers community these days that we can't ever seem to get these things right? -

Anyone figured out yet who is being targeted in these protests and why, with what objectives? Lloyds, Muir, Johnston, Murray? -
Nah, just shit-stirring.
