  1. What absolute rubbish. I take no pleasure whatsoever at the state of our RST. I think it's a disgrace the way the RST has been mis-managed and, as a committed Rangers supporter, I believe it is entirely necesary not to allow people like you to airbrush the failure and continue to build your wall of pretence around those who are patently incapable of delivering the original objectives of the Trust. Why is it that people like you always end up promoting the silent alternative? Why does your defence always come down to attacking willingness of the ordinary supporter to speak up against the Trust?
  2. "Forty-Eight hours to save Rangers." "Only one show in town." "The RST is relevant and credible" Only one of these quotes is a fiction.
  3. Sorry mate, without the "we" I might have taken the bait but years of one-sided correspondence with the RST eventually drains the batteries. You're just the latest in a very long line of people who want to ask questions but never answer them. I did join the RST, life member. Until they offered to refund my £100 membership so that I could no longer justify asking them for answers. Nice people those RST folks.
  4. Why, why does it? Because you say so? Perhaps you've tapped into difinitive wisdom? Like your friends running the RST? Can't hang around, I need to set up an alternative Labour Party, Catholic Church, Celtic Football Club, News International, etc, etc ..........
  5. What a dreary tale. I note your advice but fail to understand why you're concerning yourself with what I think of the RST, no one forces you to read these posts and you're unlikely to change any opinions. I've absolutely no interest in what you would or wouldn't do with respect to the RST and I won't be reciprocating with any advice on what you should do. If you're happy with the way the RST is being run or what it has achieved then you're easily pleased.
  6. I like a good fantasy as much as anyone but I didn't sign up as anyone's teacher, so you just find your own answers. It can't be that difficult since any other direction would be preferable to the non-event perpetrated by the incumbent clowns. Seriously, it's the oldest trick in the book, trying to justify mediocrity by challenging critics to come up with something better. But the fact is that mediocrity is still mediocrity, whatever alternatives might be proposed. It's a fool's defence and of no value.
  7. I don't see anyone griping about the RST. I do see a great deal of dissatisfaction with the performance of the RST and those who run it. The fact is that the RST isn't the current cabal who all-but-hijacked it and then didn't know what to do with it, nor does it belong to them. We don't need another organisation, the RST will do us just fine. What we need is to extracate the RST from the loony brigade who have barricaded themselves into it. There is no practical way to change the RST from within and the fact is that the RST DOES only speak for a few hundred. It's a completely unsatisfactory situation and your oblique defence of it helps no one, least of all the RST. Or are you actually claiming the current RST board are somehow worthy of your support?
  8. Obviously the former would be preferrable to the latter. However, rather than seeing him as the (a) solution to our ills, I'd like to hear his plans for the club. There seem to be quite a few circling the club who have never (to the best of my knowledge) ever raised their heads above the parapet and said what kind of club they would like to see, or how they would go about achieving it. For that reason alone, I'm reluctant to express any enthusiasm for King or any of the other naes mentioned. Twenty years of cloak and dagger management is quite enough for me.
  9. Interesting post; always good to see another viewpoint. I'm not convinced yet that there actually are any consortiums in play but I agree with your notion of a PR war, which is almost certainlty going on.
  10. Now the blackmail is out in the open the cardinal will call off his goons and the affair will disappear under a cloud off insufficient evidence to proceed. 10/1 the bitch is a nun with a habit. Conspiracy Loyal
  11. Actually Pete, while I always respect your opinions, I though my post covered a wide range of issues and its tone matched that of the RST almost perfectly. Having re-read it after your comments I have to say I still think it was most appropriate and well-judged. Don't be misled by OOA's appeal for middle of the road mediocrity, it's all he has to offer. If you scan his posts to date as I have done, there's never anything new, never anything original, and certainly never anything that challenges. Backing that sort of track record isn't your style and it's a surprise o see you do it here. You know as I do that there's more to the use of language than endlessly and covering pages in pedantic text and mainstream platitudes. He has so little to contribute that I seldom bother even to respond and when I do it's again confirmed that he reacts only negatively to any challenge. That might be his FF pedigree surfacing but it's not for me, which is why I only post elsewhere.
  12. Blah Blah Blah Blah, the Trust is wonderful, Blah Blah Blah, volunteers giving their time freely, Blah Blah, it's easy to snipe from the sidelines, Blah Blah Blah Blah, FF is the home of the brave, Blah Blah Blah, I'm a believer, Blah Blah, please love me, Blah Blah Blah.......
  13. I loved the attempt to feign acceptability by calling him "Tam". Was there ever a less likely Tam than tippy-toe Buffel. Sorry for butting in, I've been wanting to say that for ages.
  14. Staggeringly well put SA, twelve words that sum up Scottish football's Oirish infestation.
  15. The Linwood scrote hasn't been seen on Gersnet for a while, his last appearance wasn't too comfortable. These bastards have to be given no quarter and hounded mercilessly.
  16. And it's going to be brutal when the fall comes. Personally, I'll be gloating intensively as the precious, over-hyped cards start to fall. Fat cats gather no sympathy.
  17. Correct. My company has bank debt but the last I looked there was no one appointed by the bank on our board. Nor do we expect the bank to comment on our running of the company or approve any of our spending decisions.
  18. If this consortium has made an "offer" then it is either an Indicative Offer, made under a letter of intent and prior to disclosure of certain proprietary information and therefore means jack shit - or it is an offer made during an agreed period of exclusivity and it's disclosure, or the public disclosure of any required asking price, would mean the end of any deal if I was the buyer. Anyone who thinks this is how business is conducted needs to go back to their Beano. Believe me, Edgar is well out of his depth here and should try to stop showing it.
  19. Glad to see you've recovered your voice. I take it enough time has now elapsed since the last abortive RST claim to action.
  20. However, he has been known to lie through his teeth where RST membership is concerned.... and I say this without the slightest fear of contradiction. I'd rather believe my cat's version of RST membership numbers than David Edgar.
  21. He frequently does. Anyway, where does he get the time to issue statements like this? Isn't he too busy ironing things out with the Only Show in Town. Or has the RST now got over that particular embarrassment?
  22. Yes - a few hundred would be more accurate.
  23. I wouldn't give that Rangers-hating little prick Andy Muirhead the benefit of a hit on his pile-of-shite feenyan website. In fact I wouldn't post a link to it in case someone accidentally used it.
  24. Amen to that Norris. What is it that peruades some people continually to make such arses of themselves?
