    Tonights game

Deserved maybe, but it shouldn't actually happen imo. To me it's shocking to do that when we're on a run in which could swing either way. I would go home pissed off, but had I been there tonight, I can assure you I wouldn't have been booing, I'd have been almost as pissed off with the people booing as I was with the result tbh.

    Tonights game

What's pathetic is certain people taking a perverse sense of pleasure from us getting beat so that they can come on forums & waffle on about how right they were in their damnation of the current 'regime'.

    Tonights game

FCUK the people booing. Bunch of twats. Apparently they think that's going to give the team the support they need to recover from this defeat & win the league. MORONS!!!!!

    Aye & you're helping matters.

Oh, you must be f'ing delighted maineflyer. It was the players to blame. Next thing you'll be saying that Walter Smith should be creating the chances & scoring the goals for us.

    Fab At 40

He'd need to be at least playing reserve games to stay match fit or else he'd be as much use as a chocolate teapot.
  7. Exactly Cammy. FWIW, I think if we'd been 2 or more goals up, we'd definitely have seen Aaron or Fleck getting a run out.
  8. When it happened I was thinking WTF? Then I realized that WS was playing it safe by putting SW out there on the left, since he's a defender that can play in that LM position, so I thought, right fair enough. The thing is though... we spent most of the rest of the game attacking them, so arguably Aaron or Fleck would have been a better option anyway... Hard to say, but he maybe made the right decision going with SW from an experience POV in a situation where he wanted to strengthen midfield defensively rather than in an attacking sense.
  9. Righty ho, so without the doubling thingie, just reversed for a laugh. :fish: - You DO give a monkeys that I think Walter Smith should NOT have been sacked because of our exit from Europe this season or that I don't keep bleating on about how great & deserving of his position he is. - Walter Smith is not still here, he was actually sacked after the Kaunas game. - You think I should get over the fact that he got sacked for our Euro exit or go to Ibrox with a 'Walter Smith must came back. He shouldn't have been sacked' banner. - You want to know what I think I'll achieve by telling a few thousand people on internet forums that I think he should NOT have been sacked already & that he's the best manager in Scotland to manage our club. - You want to know if I'm just trying to rally pro-Smith support & wish me luck with it. - You think Walter Smith is by all means perfect, but you don't need me telling you that he's fit to be our manager when you know for a fact that he's the worst manager in Scotland. That's class... what a read!! :fish:
  10. How exactly is quoting something that you write which I disagree with & I letting you know that (sarcastically or not), taking anything, never mind 'everything' out of context? Mainly for being a complete failure, which Smith doesn't qualify for imo, but that's MY opinion & nothing more. And I don't give a monkey's that you think Walter Smith should have been sacked after we went out of Europe - or that you keep bleating on about how crap & undeserving of his position he is - he's still here. Get over it or get yourself a nice anti-Smith banner and take it to Ibrox with you. What do you think you'll achieve by telling a few thousand people on internet forums that you think he should have been sacked already & that he's not fit to manage the club? Just trying to rally up a wee anti-Smith support eh? Good luck with that. I don't think he's perfect by any means but I don't need you telling me that he's not fit to be our manager, when I know for a fact that he's the best in Scotland.
  11. So you think that Walter Smith shouldn't have been trying to win us every trophy in sight last season maineflyer? In that case a better manager in your opinion wouldn't want us to win as much as we can possibly win? I didn't like the team selection for the Kaunas game either, but I don't think Walter Smith should have been sacked for their last minute goal that put us out. I also don't think that ANY manager for a football team should be sacked for another side being well enough organized to stop them scoring enough goals to coast to a win. It's an expected part of the game that smaller sides with less talent on paper can be very hard to beat sometimes, no matter how good your squad is. That's something that Walter Smith knows very well because it's something that he took to the International team & brought back to Ibrox with him - the ability to set up the team to be hard to beat, even when playing against European teams with a lot more resources & talent in their team/at their club than ours. Yet you think because a manager of a lesser team got a result that put us out of Europe this season by playing us at our own game & getting a bit of luck on the day to help = Sack the manager, he's no good? Honestly, I don't follow your reasoning at all & I don't think my view on that is based on any 'contrived analysis', just logic and what I deem as common sense.
  12. Great article!! I agree that there's something very fishy going on with JJB, but I also think that there's an element of complete mismanagement in their company, which goes right through the ranks. Most of their stores that I've ever walked into are obviously mismanaged at the local level because they're a complete disgrace of a sports shop with as many racks of cheap crap packed into a small space as the mind & senses can cope with, so much so that it starts to make your head hurt as you can't see the goods your after for all the crap & the way the stores are usually so poorly laid out (re- too much packed into their space). It's almost as if they hire their store management staff from indoor markets or The Barras. That leads on to the fact that the regional managers are obviously not doing a very good job either or else you'd walk into a JJB store in any town or city in Scotland & it would be immaculate, you'd be saying to yourself 'wow, this is a bloody nice sports shop'. So, that leads onto me thinking, well if the regional managers aren't doing a very good job, what are the main managers & directors for the whole company doing despite collecting a fat salary? Should they not be trying to make sure that their regional & local managers are doing a great job & at least TRYING to make JJB shops a great place to go and shop for sports goods? Utter shambles of a company. People are talking about the mismanagement at Rangers (some of which I agree with btw), but if our club was run as poorly as that chain of sports shops it would have been down the stanky & liquidated long ago.
  13. Walter only spends when he's allowed to. It's Murray's fault that the spending continued after we went out to Kaunas. Fair point, but it sounds & looks like we might well be seeing a lot more of the lad. I agree, but as I said before, we've actually come very close to needing to play him because of injuries to our main strikers. Come on, Smith doesn't hate the fans at all. He's made some poorly worded comments when his backs been forced up against the wall by the dastardly press vultures, but he doesn't hate the fans, no way. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a bit cheesed off with some of the muppets in the support mind you.
  14. Well why have they lost 4 of their last 6 away games? It's not ONLY because they failed to keep a clean sheet is it? :fish: Well even if it is daft, all I'm saying is that they've only had a decent run of form at home. Their away form is pretty damn poor unless you don't think loosing 4 away games from 6 is shite.
  15. I can't say it was a team selection that I was happy with mate, but it was one that should easily have beaten that Kaunas team. As little as we rate the likes of McCulloch & Daily, they're still highly experienced & heavily caped Scottish internationals, which is why we have them as utility squad players. They should be able to step in an do a good job for us when asked to. That pair of muppets were actually more to blame for that last minute goal that Kaunas scored than anyone else, including Walter. They should have had the experience and skill to not be playing suicidal passes just outside our box, but oh no, that was too much to expect from 2 of our more experienced players. Everyone with an ounce of sense knew it wouldn't go away as it would seriously affect the clubs pocket. That's why I can't see past it being Murray's fault that we continued spending. He's the boss. Had the Edu deal not already been done before we went out of Europe though? I thought it was just pending the work permit application or whatever it was? It's not a bad list of players though & not really a huge cost considering that most of them are either international players for their country or in that class & WILL be playing for their country. I do agree that the spending should have stopped after we went out of Europe though (which I already said). The continuation of spending post Kaunas was just stupidity, but it was Murray's stupidity, not Walters. Well I definitely can't agree with you on that Norris. Murray is the gaffer, so the buck stops with him & imo Smith has done a good job since his return. We might not all like his tactics all the time & he's yet to win us the SPL title back, but to say he hasn't done a good job & is to blame for the decline of our club is just not right imo.
  16. I'll buy one too if he can play on my death slide with Eagle Eyes.
  17. FWIW, I also think that Hamilton's good home record is more about them being difficult to break down as a solid defensive unit & because of that, other sides obviously find it difficult to go there and score as we did yesterday. Not that I like to rattle off facts & figures to prove my point, but this supposed 'on form side's' top scorer only has 6 goals to his name this season. :fish:
  18. Are you counting their cup games against lower league sides SA? The stats I saw were that their SPL record in the last 6 home games were lost 1 from 6 (against us yesterday) which yes is good, but their away record in the SPL is practically the opposite (only won 2, but LOST 4 of their last 6 away games), which is NOT good, so not exactly deserving of the label 'the form side' imo.
  19. Hope you don't think I'm being OTT bringing the Catholic church into the equation, but FWIW I think they ARE involved with the corruption in Scottish football. There's no way that they aren't involved, put it that way.
  20. I think you've been listening to Walter Smith too much SA. Every team's 'the form team' or 'the team to beat' it seems. Hamilton have been on a decent run, but we should have put at least 3 in the back of their net with the quality of team we've got. Just goes to show that having the best squad in the league doesn't mean jack shit if they don't go out and hammer poorer teams at the end of the day. Either that or we're blinded by loyalty and don't have as good a team as we'd like to think.
  21. 'Taking up a new role' means that the scumbag will be getting a promotion and salary increase from 500k PA to 750k PA..... and there's no money in Scottish football for a decent youth system??? Corruption of the highest order!! What's the bets that the Catholic church get huge donations from these corrupt scumbags every time they go to mass?
  22. Watched a recent episode of 'Skins' last night & the dopey Irish teacher character played by Dougle from Father Ted was quoted as saying to his new wench that all he needs is regular sex & plenty of potatoes. Just about wet myself laughing.
  23. Apparently St.Mirren were paid a million quid back hander to go to the City cowp & lay down so that some stinky rubbish could pour over the top of them.
  24. If only Davie was a few years younger & a bit faster, but he's still doing a good job for an OAP.
