Sorry pete, but you're just plain wrong. Any footballer that scores 160 goals in 218 'appearances' (including being brought on as a sub) is something to be reckoned with.

Last time I looked into this comparison (a few weeks back) Boydy had a better goal to games ratio than strikers in the EPL that are worth 30-80 million.

Sorry, it seems as though it is 5 appearances for Boyd against Celtic for us. 12/02/06 - came on as a sub in home game. 23/04/06 - started in away game. 23/09/06 - started in away game. 05/05/07 - started in home game & scored 1 goal. 27/12/08 - started in home game. :devil:

That's only 3 starts you mention pete, but you can discount the 2005 one for sure since he was still playing for Kilmarnock. His debut for Rangers was on 07/01/2006.

If Novo isn't a starter I'd go with Boyd & Naismith or Boyd & Lafferty, but definitely Boyd before Lafferty in the 4-4-2 if it came down to a choice because Boyd has better pace & goal scoring awareness than Lafferty over a short distance in the box imo.
