Agreed. If WS doesn't rate Smith then he's slowly ruining the guys career.

If you can't play well against ES then yes, they can be blamed! If they have a good game they'll be dropped for fixture at the weekend. So I can see the dilemna they're in but that should be no excuse for having a poor game tonight.

Doesn't mean to say it won't happen again. By appointing a Scotsman, he'll know exactly what's needed and knows what the Scottish mentality is. A foreigner doesn't.

Are we playing a new system? To me, we're still going with 1 man up front no matter who plays on the wings. Boyd needs to be part of a 2 man attacking formation where others are doing the hard work for him to score. That doesn't happen when we go with 1 up top.

WS prefers/preferred Cousin to Boyd in the SPL and now that Cousin has gone we don't really have anyone who can come in and score the goals for us like Cousin did. Boyd isn't in WSs plans, JCD is always injured and Naismith is being played out wide.

Gow, McCulloch and maybe Buffel aren't strikers though Gribz. Well, that's not their preferred positions. I do agree though, our priorities should be elsewhere right now.

My jaw dropped when I read the subject. Sebo wasn't really given much of a chance. He was brought off the bench with 10 minutes to go and didn't have much time to change the game. However, I hope he doesn't come back, he's gash! -
Lafferty is over-rated. The tinks were chasing him but they laughed at the asking price Burnley were after. I don't think Moore would enhance the squad, so Larsen would be my 1st choice signing from those three. We haven't really been linked with many players this window which is unusual.

The thing that excites me about Burley being appointed is that I don't know what to expect regarding tactics and favoured personnel for his squads. Could turn out to be a negative though.
