Great statement from Dougie there, one of many from the new board in the coming months i'm sure. I would ask the board to include in any of their statements, a rallying call to the world wide support to get involved in our reconstruction. It looks like we are going to get the numbers up for tuesday, and half-season tickets are selling well. But we can't rest on our laurels now A big recruitment drive needs to go with the obvious goodwill atm, I'll tell you this though Bears, it's good to feel welcome again at our club.

It has to be a sell-out next season for season tickets, or damn near it. As long as it's a sell-out stadium every home game.

Him and his brother will never get by security at Ibrox ever again imo. Just rewards for standing in the way of truth and justice.

We can't forever argue amongst ourselves about what went on, we all made mistakes and with hindsight wish we had did some things differently. I'm drawing a line under it as i hate arguing with fellow Bears. All i will say is, the SOS we're my inspiration, I didn't agree with everything they said and did. However the broad thrust of what they were trying to achieve appealed to my ideals for regaining the club back from what was clearly a destabilizing regime. I lost faith with Dave King for a while, but understood his plans of withholding season ticket money from the board, forced Ashley hand and made him step out from the shadows. Someone somewhere said "Money talked (in the end) but the SOS walked the walk". I walked the walk with them at times, i'm proud of that. Onwards and upwards.

Revisionist codswallop, you were happy to attack the SOS and any fan who you saw as 'enemies of the state' The State being, Ashley and any puppet he put in place, to run the club into the ground, So he could give us emergency loans in return for the clubs assets. You turn my stomach STB, you hadn't the courage or the moral fibre to follow follow what was right and proper for the clubs wellbeing.

He's partly a clothing and sport retail asset stripper, he buys distressed companies, keeps the best selling brands, closes shops and factories and gets rid of what he cant sell. I think he saw Rangers in the same mould, but he couldn't close the brand down, so tried to keep us going by drip feeding the club just enough to survive. What he never saw coming was a revolt by the consumers of his new brand, us.

Ashley had it all in the palms of his hands, all he needed to do was treat the club with a bit of respect and TLC and he would have us eating out of his hands. Instead he treated us like peasants and the club like some tart, to be passed around his friends to be used and abused. Big mistake you tight arsed fat f@cker, you can kiss my and every Bears hairy arse as a penitence.

SFA: no decision yet on Ashley's links with Rangers
aweebluesoandso replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Ashley is no push over, his lawyers will have the SFA checking their bank balance. I hope the SFA do fine Ashley, then Ashley and his lawyers take them to the cleaners. That corrupt cabal of Rangers haters need booted and Ashley (as much as i dislike him) is the mean B@stard to do it. -

Who do you think will be CEO (presuming we win)?

I want fighting men with the club in their DNA. not in it for the glory or remuneration. But for the love of the club. -
You're probably correct, more wishful thinking from me, always the glass half full sort me lol

I think Ashley has had an epiphany, he know it's time to allow the guys with the 'Right Stuff" to get on and take Rangers back to the top of Scottish football. He'll take an interest but much less than he has done of late. I still think he will have a hand in selling our merchandise, but on far less onerous terms. Just my own opinions of course.

Too little, too late.

It's a wee sanctuary away from the maddening crowd.

The Herald-Football biggest contributor to Scotland's sectarianism
aweebluesoandso replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Children should not be separated along religious grounds end of. Also religion should only have a minor role in a child's education. I thought all this was sorted in the reformation? -
I got it once yesterday and thought, is this the American guy back again with another bid ?

And take your three pet Gorillas with you.

By the Mhedia constantly highlighting only one club''s supporters wrongs, that doesn't make it right either. Or solve the underlying tribal, cultural, or religion problems in Scottish football . If Rangers had ceased to exist several season ago, would the Republican terrorist love-in at Celtic Park ceased? I don't think so .
-
Our supporters groups and new board need to get a grip quickly, and go on the attack on this. Suggestions have already been made on here regarding getting our house in order,so i wont go into that just now. But at the same time, every Hun word, songs glorifying Republican terrorism and Sectarian, racist banners, must be publicly challenged. They soon will get sick of the sectarian cottage industry. Attack attack attack.

RF & RST now have voting rights over almost 6% of club

Wow, that's fan-tastic. -
Signed for me and the wife, i'll tell her when she gets in.

"By refusing to acknowledge that songs in support of terrorism or chants which make reference to “Orange b*******” are offensive and have no place in football, they too lose the argument. These songs DO exist. They DO offend. And they too should be stamped out". The Celtic supporters songs and banners at Hampden and Thursday night, were Offensive, Sectarian and Bigoted, why don't you just say it Keith, what's the problem? As if we don't know.
