OK fair point; but as you know what I meant was that every supporter (I should have said) starts off as a paying customer and then has a choice of whether to remain so. Obviously if they chose not to go they are no longer paying customers but I would contend that they remain potential paying customers.

I don't understand where you are getting 4.25% but happy to accept that your comprehension is poor.
-
Actually less. Average attendance 2013/14 - 42,938 Average attendance 2014/15 (so far) - 35,570 Difference if my old man's arithmetic still serves me = 7,638. I would not accept that it is fair to compare the two "other" games this season v the whole of last season because no exclusions are inherent in the average attendance last season but if you did that comparison then: Dumbarton 31,175 QoS - 31,851 Average of those two is 31,513. So the difference between the average of those two and last season is 11,425; which is 1,425 more than 10,000 and I think you would concede that 1,425 is not "several thousand".
-
It will certainly not do any harm. If we are top of the league and playing attractive, goal scoring football, it will encourage fans to come back; especially in the second half of the season if there is an exciting run in. But I wouldn't pretend for a minute that it would be a panacea.

I have put it to the Club that they have missed an enormous marketing opportunity this season and that is the directors responsibility. That said, as you know I do not agree with boycotts because (a) I do not think they will achieve the objective of those who promote them; (b) they harm the Club not the Board as such and © they adversely affect the team by reducing the (Rangers) atmosphere. Equally every fan is a paying customer and entitled to make their own decision.

Average attendance is down 10,000 give or take.
-
If we had raised £4m then the costs would have been 9.25%. If it had been nil raised because the threshold was not triggered then of course the costs would have been £370,000 for nothing, which is an infinitesimal percentage. But it just goes to show that even you young ones can mistakes
-
My thoughts are well in order thank you though a trifle "up" from tonights performance. GS said "another" the implication of which is that the 25% applied to the current as well as his prediction for a future offer.
-
Net of the people who are paying game by game and apart from the Hearts game we are down 10,000 paying customers per match which is £250,000 per game or £500,000 most months. This is not sustainable.
-
Where are you getting that from? The gross was £3.97m and the net was £3.6m for the full offer so £370,000 costs on £3.97m = 9.3% Even on the £3.13m raised it is only 11.8%. High costs but no need to exaggerate.
-
At a much reduced price.
-
All of that is obviously true; but it would seem a very odd story to me if it has been out out that they are investing if the person putting out the story didn't know if that is possible. On the other hand, if the minumum has not been met then it is easy publicity for them - we were going to invest but couldn't because not enough others did.
-
Not clear whether or not this includes their entitlement but I think they would have had to subscribe for their maximum entitlement in hard cash before they could take up any extra shares that were not subscribed for. Regardless of views on the personalities involved, exchanging short term debt for equity is about as good as it gets for us at the moment.

Disenfanchised? And open offer question

It's not a competition, no worries. You often find that you say something on page 10 and someone comes on and makes the same point or asks the same question on page 11, it's in the nature of things. -
Disenfanchised? And open offer question

I actually posted that a week or two back. IF this offer has not been successful (although I think it will have been) then the investors more than likely will sell the football club to recover the debt. -

Saturday 6 December v Cowdenbeath but we're not paying your fare -
Doubt any of them would go beyond their entitlement at 20p at this time. Also there are still more than the same again available I think for another pre-emptive offer most likely at an even lower price and then there is the possible new offer if pre-emption is disapplied after the AGM. I wouldn't want to speculate what the price might be at that point; assuming we do get to that point.

I have a great deal of sympathy with your point of view. I raised the issue of a "proper" membership scheme at the AGM some years ago and stared a thread about it on here last season. I can give you an undertaking that if I am elected I will most certainly raise the membership scheme as an issue with the Club. I would also reiterate what I said in response to Frankie yesterday that if I am elected and find that the RFB is just a talkng shop or "box-ticking exercise" as you put it then I will be the first to stand up and say so. -

I can answer your first three questions straight off. Mr Wallace gave me the assurance in response to a direct question. He stated without prompting that the Fans Board was his idea. Yes I believed him. He did not state that he designed it nor did I ask him that question. There is no email trail for the conversation. You will either have to believe what I am saying or not that is up to you. I am currently waiting for a bus and have a local meeting tonight. I will try to answer your other points as best I can later tonight or tomorrow. In return I ask only that you assess my CV and decide whether or not you think I am the best candidate for the position in the "away fans" category. -

I am more than happy to give the voters a personal assurance that if I am elected and I come to the view that the Club are not paying attention to what they are being told (having due regard to financial constraints) then I will most certainly be the first to say so. Persistence is my middle name, next to pedantic but I am also a realist.
