  1. There is definitely something afoot but I very much doubt that there are any negotiations going on right now with the King of SA. Our esteemed Chairman made it clear that he would talk to Mr K when the time was right if a new share issue was approved at the AGM, there really is nothing for them to discuss with him right now unless he has changed his stance on buying shares from the current investors.
  2. A great deal, I suspect. The Tories are still blaming Labour, it happens all the time.
  3. Not a chance, how many times in how many different spheres of life have you heard about "open government" and then it never materialises, because the new government are just as unwilling to share what they are doing as the old lot.
  4. The big question here is, is there any substance to this statement?
  5. Yes, BD I did mention a while ago that I had been able to take advantage of someone who had not renewed to get a move to the front row. Couldn't afford one of the cushy numbers in your section and not sure about the new seat which is more susceptible to the inclement weather but will stave off having to wear glasses for another couple of seasons.
  6. To be completely honest about it; would you really expect us to act any differently?
  7. Many on here have been banned from there and like me happy about that. Plenty of depressed people here too; but freedom of speech rules.
  8. You would think that the Scottish Team Manager would have sufficient respect to wear a collar and tie when invited (or request garnted) to sit in the Directors Box and whilst I can understand Director's wives being seated, what qualifies Mr Strachan's wife for a place? Is she assesssing players too?
  9. I hope you're not being racist too. The gentleman in question, whose name escapes me, is white but obvioulsy has been somewhere sunny on his hols. He has been doing that job for many years and also has acted as a steward on some of the European trips.
  10. In the extremely unlikley event that Celtic do indeed forfeit the tie, then there would either have to be a re-draw (because Celtic were seeded and Legia were not) or Legia would take the place of Celtic in the draw and play Maribor. There is precedent for this procedure which happens when two rounds are drawn at once, a non-seeded team who beat a seeded team take the place of the seeded team in the next round. However, it is also possible that Maribor would get a bye and Legia left in the EL.
  11. FIFA take a dim view of national governments getting involved in football matters.
  12. He will be applying for a special license. [/img] [/img]
  13. Or a celebration of a change of team management.

  16. Hard to believe but always a pleasure to be in your company, Christine.
  17. OK that's it set then for 6 December at 5.30 pm unless the match is rearranged. Details later this evening if I get a chance. If we can get 20+ it will be in the new cafe next door. See new pictures here http://malagatapas.co.uk/function-hire/
  18. Comments about kids rates noted and appreciated SC. There will be some present who have celebrated even more significant birthdays than Rab.
  19. Guys please let's not embarrass SC by further discussion of kids rates. Leave this with me and I will get something sorted.
  20. Yes rbr I hope to achieve that depending on numbers. I wanted to keep this off the thread but the issue last time was that we only had 13 Inc Miko.. The more folk we get the easier it will be to negotiate a special deal for him or any other youngsters who want to attend. If it's OK with everyone I will deal with this aspect by PM directly with SC. Thanks for all replies so far. It seems all are now agreed on 6 December but I'll still leave it open for discussion up to noon tomorrow.
  21. dB, I don't think it's a case of being positive or negative it's just a case of pointing out the facts. Rangersitis has a clear grasp of the Rules, I don't see how he can be faulted for that, quite the opposite IMHO.
  22. I wasn't really suggesting a failure by UEFA just a degree of surprise that they wouldn't bring it to a Club's attention but you are correct and I have really disproved my own point by thinking beyond the next tie. It's perfectly possible that a club might chose not to register a player, unlikely but perfectly possible. Since we are agreed that there was no failure on UEFA's part, we can save Legia the Appeal Fee I think, though it's probabaly already gone in.
