  1. Understood, thanks; obviously you didn't see the wanted posters.
  2. Who knows whether he'll be granted it or take it in whole or in part. Either way it has no bearing on our current finances.
  3. The only debt the club might have at present is if it has drawn down on any part of the £1.5m facilities recently secured.
  4. I'm sorry Pete but that's just not true. The Board are responsible but all income is due to the Club and all debt is owed by the Club.
  5. Not at all; if his wealth is so vast he must have funds on deposit somewhere. Even some of Mr Kings's most ardent supporters recognise that he needs to do something to show his personal commitment. Do you not agree? If so what should he do?
  6. I do agree with that. As I said they need to mount a major marketing campaign. Much as I think their most recent statement was easily the best, they need to hire a marketing guru much more than a spin doctor.
  7. That sounds a bit ominous! but I've never hidden my true identity.
  8. Awful designs as well as cheap looking.
  9. The proposed actions, apart from threatening the existence of the club over the summer months will also mean that the product on the park will not be as good as it otherwise might be and thereby provide aself-iflcited source of further frustration for all supporters.
  10. How about adding a group called "loyal to the Club" and leave the Board out of it.
  11. That's what a rights issue is, of course as you know and that is the authorisation properly granted at the AGM; which is why I said it would be 2 for 3 not 2 for 1 as you previously suggested. If investors take up all their rights they wil still own the same proportion.
  12. Whether I am at the "forefront" or not I think you greatly overstate my influence on the debate as indeed my influence on other matters has been greatly overstated in the past. I have nothing further to add to my previous answers and obviously you are free to debate on other forums or not as you see fit. I will only say that I totally disagree with your final sentence.
  13. Cake and eat it come to mind. So you do agree at least that this is nothing but a business transaction for Mr King. Why would it be " a horrendous idea from a business perspective " since as you point out the money could be in a high interest acccount and he says he is going to commit it anyway?
  14. Hopefully as the summer months go by more and more people will ccome to realise what is actually happening here before it is too late.
  15. That wasn't any kind of financial advice and you appear to be a bit confused about an escrow account, which is simply an independent third party account; the word "escrow" does not describe the type of bank account.
  16. Of course, as it is in the other divisions; it might come with time but I think they had to start this way to get it passsed. At the very least the SPL 11th should play the winners of 3rd v 4th and then the winners of that v the 2nd.
  17. They need to spend money on a vigorous marketing campaign; it shouldn't be that difficult with one of the most important seasons in the Club's history just ahead.
  18. The greatest close harmony group of all time? I was privileged to see them for the first time headlining a tour with Cilla Black and Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas in 1962 or 63, the Reunion Concert when it hit Glasgow in 1983 and once more in the 90's I believe. The were great friends of Buddy Holly. I once met an American who had been in the marines with them and he had a few stories to tell. Possible rivals: the Statler Bros and the most awarded C&W group of the 70's, Tompall and the Glaser Bros seen here at Wembley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=RDD9LmNeE9wSg&v=D9LmNeE9wSg&feature=player_detailpage Chuck suffered a stroke in 1975 and sadly Tompall passed away last August.
  19. There is no question that a number of those who have been involved with the Club at director level in recent years have only been in it for themselves but it is equally true that a large number of "Rangers men" have had the opportunity to support the club they hold dear and have not done so. Regrettably the days when it was an honour and a privilege to be a director of Rangers (as indeed a player) are long gone. I would like to think that those days will return but I am not confident.
  20. Frankie, I'd suggest that Mr King's intentions are anything but clear. At the minute, all he has done apart from establishing Ibrox 1872 Ltd is sprout a lot of rhetoric about the Board and stated that he'd rather they find some alternative investment before he puts in any of his own money. Since (despite what GS keeps repeating) I am confident that his lawyers will have told him that there is no chance of Rangers agreeing to his demands (and Rangers have so confirmed) I can only see one reason for continuing down this path, namely to drive the share price ever lower and/or drive the Club into admin2. Edit: Sorry that's two alternative reasons.
  21. Why doesn't he put this mythical £50m into an escrow account with an independent solicitor or even the £20m or £30m was it that he was going to put up himself?
  22. I hope he gets a decent Club, he deserves it for his loyalty to Rangers.
