The First Annual Gersnet Dinner (The Bears Picnic)
BrahimHemdani replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
Great. Can everyone who hasn't done so yet please post their agreement (hopefully) to a 3.00pm start. If any admin see this can you please add "CHANGE OF TIME for" in front of the thread title, thanks. I'll PM anyone who I don't see responding. -
There can't be very many businesses who don't need loans for working capital or expansion at some time in their existence and that is particularly true for new business ventures and that's essentially what RIFC is, a new business venture. NB: NOT A NEW CLUB. The trick is to get that finance on the best possible terms whether that be debt or equity and then use the money wisely, not fritter it away on unjustified and exhorbitant fees, ridiculously high wages that bear no relation to performance etc.
-
Quite possibly.

That's very good as well. One thing that has never been clear to me however, I may have missed discussion on it, is if it is a facility fee, then like an overdraft fee, you have to pay it whether or not you actually draw down the money. In that case the if you don't draw down anything, the equivalent rate of interest becomes infinitesimal, all the more reason for him to reinvest it and not take money for nothing as Laxey may have done if their money was not drawn down. A lot depends on whether or not the money was needed as a backstop in case Ahmad got to ring fence the £500k (in which case tactically it was a good if expensive manoeuvre) or worse still won his case, or whether it was needed for working capital pro tem the ST money or both. Another question is who has paid Laxey's legal fees in making the new agreement and relinquishing the security? For that matter who has paid Mr Letham's legal fees? It might be that he has paid his own fees; but I would expect that the Club would have to pay Laxey's solicitor's fees at the very least.
-
Agreed, which may be why there is no mention of the security, so it would appear that he has taken that, in order to give a relatively low rate of around 9% APR.

This the only realsistic solution that I can see; absent any strong objections, I'll make the arrangements with the restaurant. -
Maybe NF would take Ally?

And very easy to do as well.

GS, can you just clarify, are you happy with my suggestion of starting straight after the match i.e. about 3.00pm on the 26th of April? -
One thing is sure it must be costing Mr Easdale a fortune in legal fees.

The First Annual Gersnet Dinner (The Bears Picnic)
BrahimHemdani replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
What a pain; but I had a bad feeling that that might happen. The only other home Sat game is the Cup Semi but that's the same KO The two mid week home games aren't much help either; unless we did say 5.30pm or 6.00pm but that would be a bit tight. However, I have checked with the restaurant and they stay open all day on Sats; so one option would be to go straight from the game for say 3.00pm which would give more pre meal drinking time and a more relaxed atmosphere for the tapas and then eat the main meal (paella) around 5.00pm? I am not trying to cut out the wedding party or even BD but folks made it clear in the first poll that they wanted to do this after a match and these are the only dates other than the cup final if we get there and folks were not in favour of that as most had other plans. If there are other suggestions I'll certainly put up a new poll. -
It’s taken me exactly a year but at long last I have managed to get my Spanish Property business off the ground and you can see the first property for sale here http://www.gspc.co.uk/property/217330/. You can click on the View Schedule button at the top right to see the full particulars or quick click here http://media.gspc.co.uk/resources/property/00/00/16/58/30/schedule.pdf As you will see the agents are listed as my solicitors, Low Beaton Richmond, in order to gain access to the GSPC site (and property paper); but I am the Spanish Agent. Contact me directly on alanspanishproperty@gmail.com The Scottish owners purchased the property for €292,000 in 2007 and spent a further €35,000 on the Pool, Jacuzzi, Conservatory, Garden and Patio and storage area under the house. So right now it’s available at a €100,000 discount. Many commentators consider that the Spanish property market has already bottomed so now is a great time to grab a bargain especially with the Pound near a 12-month high against the Euro. I will be glad to provide any more information that is required and would appreciate if you could forward the link to anyone who you think might be interested.

And of cocurse there are the kippers in Arbroath. That said, when I met a great bunch of Panathinaikos fans in Athens and was keen to sample the local culinary delights, they took me to their favourite pre-match restaurant, Applebee's, which as those of you who live or travel in the US will know, is a neighbourhood family restaurant. That said, some reech man paid for everyone's dinner so can't complain.

Rangers First Q&A @ The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium on Monday 7pm
BrahimHemdani replied to WATP_Greg's topic in Rangers Chat
Yes it has, Zappa, thank you; and that's exactly what I did. I think that's clear from my last post is it not? I have expressed various concerns in private emails and have posted some of these concerns in previous threads on here. For example I have already stated that I asked for the figures to be made publicly available on 7 March but aside from one email to members and the second with the flyer for the subject meeting, this information has not been forthcoming. Another example is the comment that was made by SB about James Cooper; which aside from the grossly offensive language used in the post; caused me great concern. I asked for this to be investigated in the early hours of Sunday 16 March almost 6 days ago, but so far have not had an answer I completely disagree with you that in the circumstances "going public" as you put it, is counter-productive. In my opinion the opposite would be the case. The objective of RF is to ensure TRANSPARENCY, AUTHORITY & CONSULTATION in Rangers Football Club. RangersFirst should be held to the same high standards. -
Rangers First Q&A @ The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium on Monday 7pm
BrahimHemdani replied to WATP_Greg's topic in Rangers Chat
I have offered my services in any way I can assist because I believe it's a worthwhile cause, with an achievable objective. So far I have been asked to take notes/minutes (in conjunction with others) on some occasions and I was asked to review the Co-op model rules for CICCLG's which I did; probably because I have experience in both areas. I have volunteered (with others) to do presentations but this offer has not been taken up. At the same time I have asked questions and made requests for information such as those above that have not been answered. -

BrahimHemdani replied to WATP_Greg's topic in Rangers Chat
I don't know, Zappa, but I'm sure you'll tell me. I don't know anything about the inner workings of RF other than what I have gleaned from attending all the meetings. I recall it being suggested on an earlier thread that I was in some kind of "special position" at RF but I can assure you that that is not the case; indeed if anything the opposite is the case. -
Rangers First Q&A @ The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium on Monday 7pm
BrahimHemdani replied to WATP_Greg's topic in Rangers Chat
I'll give that a listen thanks, because I mentioned at one of the meetings that I had written to the President of NARSA and he responded but I have not heard anything official from RF. -
Somehow, Arbroath doesn't have the same charm or the Acropolis of Athens; Brechin isn't quite the same as Bremen and its Town Musicians; and Forfar can't quite match the Renaissance art of Florence (apologies to anyone who lives in these fine Scottish towns).
