This is unbelievable, in fact its the Rangers jinx so it is believable. BUt this has to be the qucikest injury yet, and its a ligament damage which could be any amount of time.

Read above! I got 2 lines up last week!!
-
Which newspaper did you copy that out of mate? My coupon would be bust if those predictions are right
-
I forgot Buffel was only 24

You need to get a right balance with experienced players who have played at a reasonable level in europe plus young hungry players. Right now we seem to be concentrating only on the young scottish players. Id like an experienced name come to the club as the average age of the team has really lowered recently.
-
Yes was going to mention Ferguson was streets ahead in that game but its only 1 game. Part of my point is Gravesen came from Real Madrid, whereas we are looking at Falkirk and Hibs players to make us good again.
-
Aye a quarter Belgian Chocolate But, Buffel has failed miserably. Twice ive said he could be our most important player in a season. He has skill, pace and ability but just doesnt do it for us. I think he doesnt fit into a system unless he is in a free role behind the strikers and we arent going to play that. So hopefully we get a decent fee for him to bring in a solid goalscoring midfielder.

Anyone having any flutters on cup weekend? I actually had 2 wins in the last week. I think its coz i never put them up on Gersnet and my lines finally came up Ive just wokred out my teams and il post them tomorrow at full time
-
Yeah he dislocated shoulder against Reading, out for 6 weeks. He's never repeated his Leeds form at West Ham or Newcastle.

Just reading through this now. Despite now knowing it looks like Smith i still came up with a few names while flying. I knew Calscot would be the one to mention Co Adriennse, he did come to mind when i was thinking about it. Van Gaal was certainly the other Dutch man who came up. Venebles and George Graham also sprang to mind. But whoever it is McCoist has to be assistant or coach. But now it looks like Smith and Mccoist and id go with that. But those of you who brought up Alex McLeish - back to bed folks

He is a bit of a nutter / headcase. His collum is like that everyweek. Also saw him on Soccer AM a while back and he was nuts then aswell.

Gersnet Analysis: Sir Davie McFly and Short-termism
Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Yeah agreed (all his good work go to waste) but i dont know if he can continue the good work in a part time basis only. That would mean himself, Tommy Burns and McCoist (if he continued with Scotland aswell) all in dual roles with clubs. That cant be good at all. -
Well its a good signing from us. Interesting to see if he plays straight away and who for. Personally id play him with Svensson in a 4-4-2 but maybe there's a shout for playing Hemdani in there also as a sweeper and go 3-5-2
-
I think Fletcher would be a good signing for us but we wont get him. If Man U sold him a Middlesboro type team will come in with higher wages and the offer to stay in the EPL, so im sure he would do that. I look at Celtics midfield and see Lennon, Gravesen, Nakamura etc and see it being stronger than ours at the moment. I really wish the Gattuso rumour was true.

IMO they cant take on both jobs at the same time. Not when we (Scotland) are flying in the European Champ qualifiers. This needs a full time man to keep this going. McCoist should have came in under McLeish a while ago wen he had the chance even if it was just for a temp coaching role and he would have been groomed slightly even though it was from a tactically naive manager But he has another chance. Maybe he should come in as joint 1st team manager rather than assistant with the help of an experienced guy (prob Smith part time) Smith - I think it is right job for him but wrong time. He would love another crack at it but i think he still wants this challenge of finishing above France and Italy. I also think he is enjoying it. He has to decide 1 way or the other. He may feel he has talking Scotland on as far as he can. He may also think that the Scottish fans (other than Gers fans) wont like him doing both roles. He might get away with it part time, but if he comes back to Ibrox Id prefer it as full time manager with McCoist and Gough with him. But as a Scotland fan id be dissapointed as im not sure who would come into replace him there.

Would be a good signing - We need a bit of steel in the midfield after recent collapses. We need to punt Bowyer on, he just isnt doing the business.
-
I still see Sebo coming onto a game aswell but he MUST get a run of at least 4-5 games to get it right. He is still playing bit parts. He has pace and is strong and he seems to get in the right positions but misses. After all Boyd misses a lot of chances aswell.

The opening post is spot on, its a bad day when player power wins!
-
Ive always said id take Webster but id still like a more experienced defender to play with him. Although it could be a long term partnership with Svensson. I wonder if we could get Dave Weir in from Everton on the cheap to settle Webster.
-
He hasnt signed yet, but if he does he cant play until the summer. Dont think Hartson will go to West Ham. We still have Zamora, Harewood, Teddy (until the summer prob), Tevez? and Ashton. Viduka would be a great signing if he plays to his best everyweek. But a defender is first priority. Dailly is finished and not EPL standard anymore. If Gabbidon and Ferdinand arent fit then we struggle.
-
I like a better keeper - yes. He pulls of fine saves but also makes mistakes. I know he is young and we have been spoiled by great keepers but he isnt nowhere near ready enough to step into Klos' shoes.

From the minute Coisty was mentioned i was singing that I had quite a lot of thinking on my 12 hour flight today, but then i didnt know Walter and Ally were as good as done. So all the names i came up with are now a waste of my thoughts - i could have been looking at women instead But seriously, i see what Gav is saying about the chance of WS and AM losing there legendary status. Personally i cant see that happen - they are legends whatever. It would be a different story if we were high flying at the moment and they drageed us backwards but they honestly cant do any worse that the last 18 months. If they do fail then surely everyone will then see the problems are deeper than the playing team. As i said many names came to mind, but at this point in time due to the situation, Walter and Ally have to come in and sort it. I dont even think Souness could sort out the situation as good as those 2 as the club means everything to both of them. As for Ferguson, i think we need his ability at the moment but if he left i wouldnt give a monkeys.

That team does nothing for me. The defence isnt bad but the rest looks like an average SPL side. ____________________Another_________________ Hutton_______Webster______Svensson_____Smith Burke________Ferguson____Hemdani______Quashie _______________Boyd____Another_____________

Good post and i can see what your saying, but its from the Ferguson camp only. I still think Ferguson has underminded the manager here and it may have been going on last 2 seasons also. Thats why id like McCoist to come in - Super Ally will be BF's hero and he HAS to look up to him. Although id probably keep BF now as i dont see Brown as a better replacement but id keep the captains armband off him. That would be the 3rd time he has been handed it!!
