  1. Id love Gordon but he has improved loads in the last year that a top EPL will snap him up.
  2. Yeah agree with this. We are crying out for some decent signings. Anyone playing in the EPL outside maybe the likes of Watford etc has to be decent and by far more attracive than Falkirk players. Im sure (with the help of Ray Wilkins or the likes) we could attract a few decent prem players.
  3. There is no doubt Celtic are strides ahead of us on the park at the moment but its purely down to getting the basics right. They play a 4-4-2 or a 4-4-1-1 and each player is comfortable with there job and in the right position. They also play more as a team. Until Pressley came id say there defence was shaky but he has brought steel to it. They are solid in midfield and have players scoring from all positions, again something we dont have. There strikers arent even firing in all cyclinders aswell but they are still crusing. I think Walter will come in and steady our ship. But its too late this season. I think Celtic may also get a bit of a scare with WS and Ally coming as they know Rangers will install fight again, and Walter was the master at beating celtic home and away.
  4. I think its more of a case of being in the society of binge drinking and how the players are drinking. You look back to the 70s, 80s and even 90s (with the 9IAR team) and you hear the likes of Andy Gray and Gordon McQueen talk all the time about these days when they would be in the pub have a pint and a game of cards at lunch time. But come 3pm on a sat they would be ready to role up there sleaves. A pint at lunch time would probably do no harm but its the guys who are out clubbing until 2am and lapping up the attention that need sorted out. I remember Laudrup saying when he came to club, he went for lunch and all the guys were having a pint and he felt left out as he want drinking. He said abroad its the guy who has the beer who looks left out. But those 9IAR players gave everything for the team and had success. So IMO its down to the manner of drinking.

    SPL buys

Great shout but id say a great success. How id love Fergie in the midfield right now!!!
  6. Yeah and he gives away all his medals. What a clown, he should be keeping them for his children etc

    SPL buys

Pete, just players we have signed from other scottish clubs Stephen Wright was a bit unlucky with injuries. Duncan Ferguson didnt live up to his 4 million price tag Andrews - Didnt exactly shine but we could be done with him now as he gave 200%
  8. Fair enough, ive never fancied either of them anyway especially Thomson. I still think our targets should be way above Hibs players.
  9. Is it just coincidence that this talk comes out as Man U look favourties to win the league!! He is one of the worst losers ever. Man U and Arsenal had to do some re-building seen as Chelsea had a never ending cheque book, and now Man u can put a team out that is better he will sul and walk. I wouldnt be sad to see him leave but i hope he stays and loses the league

    SPL buys

We've bought a fair amount of players from SPL clubs over the years, some good and some dumplings. I think this has been a small part of our downfall. Lets start a wee list of players who and state if they were a success or a dumpling. I'll go back as far as: Andy Goram - Absolute success Davie Robertson - success Neil McCann - success Gary Bollan - Dumpling Alex Cleland - 50/50 as he put in a few good shifts in the SPL Caniggia - Wasnt there long enough but made an impact Novo - 1 good season with 25 goals Over to the next person
  11. Yeah a new centre half is still required now Webster is out. Davie Weir would be ideal short term. David Unsworth was available last week and signed for someone on a free. We could have went in for him short time aswell. I think there is a possibility that Webster (if he signs perm) and Svensson could form a partnership, but at the moment we need a solid no nonsense centre half.
  12. Of course we can afford to. How can we not? Things are a shambles. One thing that needs sorted is the strikeforce. Whoever has played upfront lately havent looked anything like a partnership. I say play Boyd and Sebo together with Prso moving back out to the left coz Adam isnt good enough out there.
  13. Thats unbelievable. Not just the comp but the fact Murray can spill pay offs right left and centre but wont pay a penny for a player other than SPL guys who are low wages. :admin: So much for that article on here somewhere saying that Le Guen walked away without a penny and just his dignity intact!! :admin:
  14. I say play him for 6 games non stop then we'll decide if he can leave in the summer or not

    Sos....

I dont think they can fail mate. If they were coming into a successful team and started losing then they'd fail. But it cant get any worse. If those 2 cant get a few results on the board and the team playing with a bit of bite then nobody can. Then they can walk away and say they tried. That will be 3 managers (Eck PLG WS) who couldnt raise the team so then the core of the problem (Murray) will surely come to a head.
  16. My coupon was way off!! I had: Bristol City 3-3 COVENTRY Hull 1-1 MIDDLESBORO Leicester 1-1 FULHAM Forest 2-0 CHARLTON (i cant believe i bet them again) PRESTON 1-0 Sunderland

.....Walter Smith and Ally McCoist The more i think of it, we must appoint these 2 now. Todays result is dire and unacceptable. We should never go down 3-0 to Dunfermline. Ok we got 2 goals back but we lost it too early. Its not Durrants fault. The events of midwekk ahve obviously affected the squad. We need Smith to come in first thing Monday morning and bring his "steel" with him. He needs to being in McCoist who will bring back some harmonay to Ibrox and get the players playing with a smile on there face but at the same time pulling on the jersey and knowing what its all about. The crop of players there are pure average but do have a bit of potential if they get the right man management. Im not sure if Smith can do both Rangers job and Scotland job. I hope so but his and Super Ally's pressance is needed ASAP!!! And get Gough in there with you's aswell.
  18. This article is good and but the scotsman definatly take PLG's side of the story. Its a very believable article aswell, but only Ibrox insiders know if its true or not
  19. Pretty good game. I fancied Arsenal before it and was so close to backing them half/time - full/time. Rosickys first goal was a delightful finish after good work by him and Hleb. His second goal was a good individual effort and then Henry finished it with a good goal. I cant understand how they can go to Sheff Utd last week and lose then go to Anfield and win 3-1. They need to sort out there form against the more physical sides and they can win the league. They won at Old Trafford, should have won at Stamford Bridge but cant get anything at Bolton etc.
  20. And he never mentioned Walcott in the list
  21. I think they under estimated him at Madrid due to Zidane, Beckham and Co. But even before that he was always a solid player for Everton in the EPL and they missed him to start with until Cahill and Arteta came onto a game. Id still rather be looking to buy Madrid's bench than Falkirk players.
  22. Yeah agree Craig. Houllier has a point that McLeish had the same problems. Its true we havent made any improvement and its down to the players.
  23. I think that picture on the last page could be photoshopped. His face is much clearer compared to everyone else, but maybe not. He is a player everyone loves to hate but he is passionate and in the last 2 years has came onto a good game. Id probably take him for his grit and determination, he is what we need at the moment. We just need Quashie and Fletcher after that and we have the Scotland midfield

    Clement

Depends how he feels personally. He hasnt over impressed me but if he wants to stay then thats good.
  25. This is unbelievable, in fact its the Rangers jinx so it is believable. BUt this has to be the qucikest injury yet, and its a ligament damage which could be any amount of time.
