That was a question. Not saying that Green & Co. has paid anything of it so far.
-
CVA decision? Shareholders meeting? Wouldn't you expect the manager being there?
-
There's been a few words about that in the statement: Does anyone knows for sure the running costs per month?
-
Fair enough. Sitting duck for the snipers and surely embarrassing for him. I did not dismiss it by default. I spoke about "trust".
-
Straight copy from SportingLife a bit earlier. It is NOT the club nor its 140 years that go into liquidation. How thick can you be? The Scum will love it.
-
Did Green made a definite statement saying that Hart was in his consortium?* Or was he saying that Ian Hart belongs to the group of people contacted? Methinks one of the people approached said that he declined the offer or the way it was being done? *E.g., the DR made a total mess out of the Ally McCoist story and I wonder whether Green mentioned Hart in any official statement as a definite member (sic!) of his consortium. I for one wouldn't trust the press in the current climate, even if they were telling me that McCoist's surname was Allister.
-
I would assume everyone who has invested so far or fills any position announced by Green (and he himself) will own shares in the newco, but none more than 15%. So there should be enough shares left to grab, I would assume.
-
While we are at it, the selling of the "shares" has not yet started, has it?
-
Unless I am mistaken, no one shareholder will own more than 15%, according to Green's proposal. What, if I may ask, stops anyone from the Walter Smith group to buy themselves into this and see how it goes on. Thus we'll have Rnagers men there and Green himeslf said that he is not in there for long. We already have a Rangers man as chairman now. Or will it be normal business with McColl and Co., as they may look for a greater share?
-
Fight continuing ... we should start clubbing the media somewhat. For each and every article about us has the same rubbish ... if that was the case, there would be no Rangers after administration. But it works well for the "You lose your history!" - brigade.
-
If you see conspiracies at every corner, sure enough.
-
"Without us, you would be nothing!"
-
Ahem .. yes. For the time being, I would assume legal stuff kicks in and some of it has to be done by Green & Co.. I would assume they can't simply be kicked out of this, but I'd also assume that they'll know what it would do to their image and acceptance if they rebuff Walter. Let's hope these people meet sensibly and get this done. Any webcams on Erskine Bridge, BTW?

Uncertainity prevails over position of Ally McCoist
der Berliner replied to Bears's topic in Rangers Chat
Somesuch makes me stop believing such stuff until an official source actually says something. What it leads to is canon fodder for the anti-Green brigade and we see it on here too. Hence you'd at least call for calm until we actually know something. Silence is deafening? Yes, we had a CVA meeting and a shareholders meeting and possibly some meetings between Green and McCoist and the admins to follow that. Does anyone on here expects that we dance to the tune of the press, reacting to any of their bile and false claims? Or the correct ones, for that matter. -
â??On Planet Charles, everything is somebody elseâ??s faultâ??

IMHO, and it may be warped, Whyte was brought in to do exactly what he did. CL money would have made the suffering starting late, but once the EBT case was about to go off, we'd probably in the very same position as we are now. I do not thank Whyte for what he did to us, but as rbr (methinks) recently said, he handed an essentially debt free and history intact team to the new owners. It will be a difficult year ahead, not least for the success-used fans, but there is a road ahead. And I for one do not think that Rangers will be the last team facing this financial meltdown problem. -
Alas, if we would drop to SFL D 3, we'd do the Scottish game a world of good, giving money to the bargain basement sides and raising interest in the game "down there" in general. Wonder how they will turn this into something negative for us ...

19 pages based on what? Really, they got us where they wanted us. Hysteria mode without let up. We should remember the newspaper and the reporter who broke that story. -
Uncertainity prevails over position of Ally McCoist

Had a quick glance at the DR article ... one source, "close to Ally", a former, now ousted director. Is that King, by any chance? Maybe we wait till some official statement (McCoist or Green or the club) is being issued? -

SFA asks Fifa to rule on status of â??newcoâ?? players
der Berliner replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I would assume he's talking after some legal advise .. or how he understands the rules. As in, the pendulum swings in both directions. Could happen to any of us, it shouldn't though ... -
SFA asks Fifa to rule on status of â??newcoâ?? players
der Berliner replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
The simplest thing here is for the players to simply switch companies and get this over and done with. They can still leave for next to nothing afterwards, but save us and Scottish football (not that I care at the moment) more embarrassment. -
If the players decide to leave and we are still on the receiving end of the transfer embargo, well, who would play for us next season? Looks like the SFA has a reasonable decision to make. *imagine manical laughter*

You mean the Bheasts, the undisputed champions of Scotland, the nearly Cup-and-Doublewinners of Scotland, the nearly League-Cup-and-Treble-winners of Scotland, whose fans clashed with stewards at Tynecastle, whose manager was banned from the touchline again and again, and chased the refrees about? The team which was fined by UEFA for having a neat banner hanging about, which still got the manager of the year and the player of the year and the young player of the year and the youth player of the year awards ... and on top of that also received the fair play award for this season? If I read the above, the thought of us going the Division 3 route while watching them and the rest of the Rangers haters die a slow death suddenly becomes a lot more attractive. *cynical mode off*

There is no argument: 54 and counting!

Essentially, if the players move to the newco, all is fine. If they don't wish to, they can pack their bags and move for free, with some legal stuff following them out of the door. I doubt that we would want any more of this bad publicity, even though one could understand that any new owner wouldn't want these potential income streams just vanish. You'd hope most of tzhe players show common sense here, or have some more blue blood in their veins.
