not back tracking m8 but if he's as good as you make him out to be then I'd play him in every position :fish: the players we have out injured just now would all have been in front of him last night but we don't have any creative players and he might've done something last night but then again might not we'll never know :cheers: If we had a full fit squad he would not even come in to my thoughts.

you stick to your guns when you don't like or do like someone m8 eh :fish: I think the majority of posts anywhere i've read have said that Whittaker was MOTM, and to say he was out of his depth is a bit harsh IMO, he is still young and learning at this level. I thought him and Thomson were the best we had last night, to say SW got lucky with the clearance is also a bit harsh m8, he more than made up for his mistake IMO just by running to the goal line when he seen the striker go round the keeper, if your not there it's a goal, how many times do you see that when the striker miss hits it in that position and the defender is beaten, the striker should have scored but to say SW was lucky is not what I would ever say about it, he done well IMO. His crossing was bad but got stuck in tried to go forward without much help and done well IMO and more than most on the night. :cheers:

Lyon had to win and went for it right from the start with the attacking team they picked. They were great going forward and defended well enough when needed and their passes found their own players which helps!! They deserved to win, I usually back WS up as he has done well with his tactics most of the time IMO but at home you should be playing with 2 strikers at least, very disappointing night indeed. No creative players in midfield and IMO I don't think Buffel is the long term answer but I think he or someone else deserves a chance now as we have nothing much in there creative wise and I think everyone can see that. Cousin was again very disappointing and he should not get a game before Boyd again after his non efforts in his last few games. �£3m for Cousin I can't see us getting anything like that now And if Boyd goes like some of stories I think we could be up s**t creek. Hopefully as Gribz says we will be more attacking in the UEFA cup maybe time to put some performances on for the fans who were robbed last night :cheers:

I certainly agree here, thought he done well tho chased everything, worked hard, done well when he got back to save the effort off the line, might have been lucky but you have to be there to be lucky, great tracking back I thought. His crossing was woeful tho but was one of the better players on the park IMO, we did not play well and created very little and the JCD chance summed us up, and I didn't see the point in bringing Boyd on with minutes to go :cheers:

with some of the teams in it we won't get far playing like that anyway...... some good teams in it this year IMO........

think he was brought back to win at home first IMO, winning in europe would have been a bonus but not too be........

If you eat and drink sensibly most of the time, train bloody hard, you can surely eat and drink what you want. If you want to be a total athlete you have to be really strict which I'd say most Brits are not. It's the British culture and the way you are brought up I think. Look at the likes of wayne rooney, he probably eats what he likes but won't eat crap all the time, trains hard and does OK I'd say the UK has probably the worst diet in Europe and with so many fast food outlets it must be easy to go that way. Foreigners coming over here have probably never seen this before from football players or athletes. If you want to be a machine or change peoples way of life it would be hard to do and takes a certain mentality to do that IMO. Also people are different and react differently to foods, I read about Owen Coyle recently who lives/lived on a diet of 90% junk food and he didn't/doesn't put any weight on ever, he trained hard and he done OK for himself.

it's all about opinions Gribz and I don't really agree with yours and you don't mine fair enough that's what forums are for!! Boyd has done more than Buffel could ever do IMO, scoring goals is what I like to see and there is no one better than him IMO at our club. Boyd could do nothing the whole game then score a winner which is why I would play him more often than not for me a striker is there to score goals and he does his fair share, Buffel's position you can't get away with that which is why he doesn't and won't play for us again IMO, but I could be wrong.......if his work rate was like some of other players I could maybe understand you but for all his skill he has no engine, no heart and no desire.

McCulloch will be on the left I think/hope! Here we go again, I don't rate Buffel at all m8 as he has done virtually nothing IMO since he has been at Rangers and if you say he's done well in one or two games in his time here then that to me is ludicrous. We all know he HAS/HAD the ability but has hardly ever shown it in a Rangers jersey and I don't think he ever will/would. I would pick SW miles before Buffel but that's my opinion m8, I don't agree with yours but that's what it's all about. SW can give more defensive cover than the likes of Buffel which we might need in a game like this also.

i do hope he stays as IMO we would miss him big style, no one more clinical than Boyd at the club and it would cost a fortune to replace him.

i agree with them m8 and WS team selection most of the time but you still won't please the fans who want 2 or 3 up front. If we lose this game his team and tactics won't be good enough and I told you so will be said and if we win he got it right again :cheers:

I know you really must like Buffel Gribz but he is not exactly a speed merchant is he Naismith has much more pace IMO and should be in from the start well before Buffel :cheers:

maybe gloating was a stupid thing to say I agree but some of the posts here beggar belief sometimes IMHO. Maybe I read some of the posts wrong but to me some fans/posters seem happy they got the result correct and say I told ya so rather than the result itself. I am not saying everyone is negative but again some posts are very negative again IMO m8 nothing else it's all about opinions here is it not You think we will lose that's your opinion and I respect it but I don't think they are that much better than us, they have better players in some positions but we do have a good young (mainly Scottish based) team that I think will only get better. The game in France they were shooting mainly from outside the box and our defence with a 36 year old with no pace kept them there so there's no reason why we can't do it again but again that's only my opinion. Sorry if I offended anyone who thinks we will get beat :cheers: I never mentioned anything about being a better supporter than anyone else because I think we will win m8
