  1. i would rather have won in lyon than yesterday if i had to pick. we can make up ground over the season but in the CL it's much harder IMO.
  2. it is good for Scottish football and the coefficient etc but if they had both got beat I definitely would've smiled!!! Seeing as we got by far the best result of the 3 teams, even if some can't admit it, I am a very happy bear who cares only about us and no one else :moon:
  3. congratulations again Frankie boy, hopefully see you tomorrow m8....... you'll enjoy your sleep even more now when you get some that is
  4. i agree it baffles me as well. can't you get a sensible conversation on your own teams forums?
  5. Hutton was superb for me and as has been said still gets stick/helpful criticism? He had a part to play in the first 2 goals so surely that more than makes up for the mistakes he did make that came to nothing? Barry has his worst game for a while IMO and nothing much is said about that. He never hides though and it's good to see we don't have to reply on him all the time!!! DaMarcus also lost possession near our own goals more than once and that could've put us in trouble also but again nothing said but again for me made up for it with his contribution in the game. The team as a whole were superb especially when not many of us even thought about getting a draw or a win but to get a 3-0 win and be only the 2nd team ever to win there in the CL is some feat and no one should be picking faults with anyone IMO...... We should be enjoying these results as they don't happen very often but hopefully we can take plenty of confidence from this and show the so called bigger teams less respect and go for it as we have showed tonight we can do it. Bring on the Barca

    count me in m8...........
  7. must agree atmosphere was great on Sat where we were, hastie nearly broke my arm and leg when we went flying after scoring the first goal tho!!! good day in the wee rangers club as well, and of course good company........ wife didn't appreciate me giving my wee boy the whistle when i got home tho
  8. spot on and why Rangers don't have the balls to come out with such statments is beyond me.............
  9. ban ban ban  good to see some postive stories for once, although some papers will still make up bad reports from this :uzi:
  10. Ban Barry for posting something positive
  11. very true and you know this will never happen while SDM is at the head of our club .
  12. i agree there but the statements from SJ and AM the last few days certainly aren't going to help relationships between the club and the fans far from it. I can't see any logic why he has said this under pressure or not, i still can't get my head round what he said TBO.
  13. we do need to get our own house in order yes I think the majority agrees on that, but surely it's plain for all to see how much they are getting away with very similar goings on and nothing happens. their club just comes out saying there is not a problem and everyone including their own who are to blame believe them, our club comes out and basically says we have been bigots for the last 80 years or so and of course everyone believes them!!! no one, especially our club at times like these are certainly not doing us any favours!!
  14. I think they need to be seen doing something about sectarianism which still is there in our club but are going the totally wrong way about it IMO. the people who have came out and said what they have are just spokesmen for them higher up IMO but whom fans did/still? respect but after what they have said the respect is waning fast especially for SJ who can't expect to say what he did and come out smelling of roses from many or any Rangers. I am stunned as to what SJ has actually said about our fans!! I thought we were actually getting somewhere and with the RST etc making strides we could've headed in the right direction but after these comments I don't know.
  15. think as you have said Frankie he has to come up with the goods in the next few months or he will be in for a very tough ride, unless he hides away in his vineyards!! I think now the majority of Gers fans and ones who have stood by him this long are now seeing SDM holding this club back and not looking in the least bit interested in investing much money to get us back on top in Scotland. I for one don't see it happening but will eat my words if it does.
  16. good statement and this is the only way to hurt them and i hope rangers stand up for the fans here.
  17. i agree get our own home in order first and give the scum press etc nothing to go on, (i'm sure they will find something tho) then hopefully the rest might just get looked upon for doing similar but getting away with it due to the witch hunt against us and taking up all their precious story time... i still think the guy in a rangers top who has never been to a game being arrested singing *** and the billy boys in Timbuktu will hit the papers before any other supporters singing unacceptable songs or chants, unless the press change!!!!!!!!!!! I have been very impressed by the positives coming out from the recent supporters clubs/groups meetings and their new ideas to help eradicate our problems.
  18. he was a good player but was unfortunate with injuries and I sadly don't think he will ever get back to the level he was when he first joined. good luck to him wherever he goes.
  19. OK I've re-read and I do not use this as an excuse as this is my view. If I couldn't be fucked with the club I would not buy a season ticket or go watch them, buy their merchandise and go on forums like these to discuss Rangers. The atmosphere is the worst I have probably heard it at Ibrox. The only section doing something is the BO in the BF where I sit. I do sing at most if not all games a lot of the times. Me and my mates have even started songs oooooooo!! Quite a lot in the BO section join in, some don't that's up to them. The rest of the ground are a disgrace, you might hear them for 2 seconds if we score then that's it basically. I stay to the end most games but if I want to leave because what I am watching is bloody painful then that's up to me and if I am a bad supporter in other fans eyes then fine but 49,000 fans are just as bad for not singing at all to help the atmosphere and get behind the team. There is a very big problem at Rangers from the chairman down. I think most of the fans still back SDM and I can't see why. We have won nothing for 2 years and who can say you are confident in winning anything in the near future? I can't! A lot of fans still don't like or trust the RST who seem to be the only organisation doing something positive for Rangers and backing the fans and the club against the witch hunt that is going on. Why are Rangers FC not doing this? The players who don't work hard or are not good enough need to be told or shown the door and I'm sure a few will this summer now Smith and McCoist are back. But who do we get in to replace them? Is SDM going to make decent money available to buy better players or are we going to go through this all again every year?
  20. the club means a hell of a lot to me as i've been going 20 years now but some of the non triers disgust me if they don't you then fine
  21. the fans pay a lot of money to be entertained by these overpaid players. if they can't work up a sweat for the fans why should the fans who pay a lot of money to watch give them anything back? should they just because they are supporting the mighty Glasgow Rangers? if the team gave more on the park each week i'm sure the fans would give more back as well. we are the ones paying to watch mind not get paid thousands for doing something you love and living the dream of most Rangers fans. it's ok saying the fans should back them more but i have never left early so many times recently as even though i back them all the time what i am watching the majority of the time now is not great to watch or get anything near excited about. if you want to call me bad supporter then fine that's up to you, but you say the fans should be the 12th man? we don't have anywhere near 11 good men on the park at present and until i am watching good football in the majority of games from now on i will continue to leave early, the wee rangers club is by far a better place to be than than watching Rangers just now
  22. It wasn't a great game (what I seen anyway), we should've won the game as we missed a few sitters in the first half, but we should be winning these games easy against 10 or 11 men at home and no disrespect to ICT. we don't work as hard as other teams like ICT, why? we don't seem to have any urgency about us at any point in the game, why? Walter sorted out the main problem quickly when he came in and got the defence sorted short term anyway, but there needs to be a massive change in personnel and everyone's attitude (as my m8 hastie kept telling me on the way home) but he is right it's shocking that most of these players have no great work ethic, why ?? Do they actually care? not for me they don't! Walter and Ally are legends for me as I was there right though both their first time round Gers careers and if given a chance and the right backing from fans and quite a bit of money from the chairman I think they can lead us back to the top. Barry is IMO our best player and for me that is sad, he plays ok the majority of the time and has some great games but nothing else, if he had better players there with him I'm sure that would help him . some younger guys can improve but how far they can go I don't know. the rest are average overpaid players, we don't have any superstars like we did no that long ago and can't see us having many more for a good while. Our best player over the last few months is someone who's attitude seems to have got better and that's Hutton, a guy who was the boo boy for a while but has been consistent for me the last while. how much better he can get only time will tell but he is still young with time on his side but is he good enough for us? just now yes but he wouldn't get near teams we have had in the past but that just shows how bad the standards have dropped over the years. This season I have never left so many games early in my time of watching Rangers as there is nothing great to watch or excite me these days. We need to invest a vast amount of money in new players but how much we get from SDM I don't know as he is not interested one bit!
  23. RST are the only organisation IMO who are speaking for the majority of the fans and leading us in the right direction with new and exciting ideas coming out thick and fast, the club should be ashamed they are not doing the same!
  24. certainly think he's worth 1.5m they are saying and much better value than McDonald, he is OK but very glad he's not coming to Rangers.........
  25. Another good piece Frankie. Sadly I do think as you have said some of the press etc are more interested in raising their profiles in any way possible and come up with no solution or even decent suggestions on how to tackle the said problems. They must take some blame for what has went on but they blame the fans 100%. If they distance themselves from the conference in the summer then to me that says they are not committed to helping at all and they can't ever again be taken serious with such comments they make on the subject if they have been up to now. Regarding Taylor I am glad he is moving on as he has done nothing for the Scottish game IMO, UEFA seem to have another YES man on board, his move was nothing to do with money of course, one thing he slated Walter for!!! Hopefully he will be replaced with someone who will back Scottish teams but I won't hold my breath. Again the old scenario as to why Rangers FC won't come out and stand up to everyone who seems to be witch-hunting us and it's left to the brilliant RST to lead us in the right direction and say enough is enough we won't stand back and take anymore! I think more fans realise the Trust are at present doing more for the fans and the club than Rangers FC have done in the past ?? years, I dread to think of the future for us if they didn't exist.
