As has been pointed out, there is only one advantage in rejoining the SPL, and that is European football. I look at all the other good points such as not having anything to do with them. If we can hold this present level of support and good atmosphere at games, I'm all for staying out of the SPL. They'll fail before we do. There will also be an issue with TV rights at some stage. And that will be interesting. This Bear says let's stay away.

I wonder who all this money - this new UEFA payout, the Davis money, the 2011-12 prize money - legally belongs to. Does it belong to the present Company, or should it have been in the creditors' pot. No matter which - and each sum would have to considered separately - one thing. Is for sure. There is an extremely weak case for any of these sums belonging to either the SPL or the SFA Perhaps all will become clearer when the liquidation process moves on.

I'm really surprised to see a statement like this from D&P - but pleasantly surprised. This has obviously been synchronised and we can only guess as to why - or at least I can only guess. The plot thickens. I just wonder if the issue of the withheld prize money will yet raise its head at some stage, and wonder - if it does - about the solvency of the SPL. I think that we're now into the end game. The statements from D&P and Chuck are far too way out to have any hope of retraction. There were always guaranteed to be winners and losers in this, and the smart money was on us being the losers. After today's statements, I'm not too sure. We live - again - in interesting times.

WE will be found guilty. That's a foregone. Perhaps the fine will be last season's prize money, and will therefore legitimise the SPL pocketing the £2m. Tha's maybe wishful thinking. I agree with GS that the SPL would not be spending so much money without a clear idea of recouping it. Harper Macleod alone must be costing an arm and a leg - unless of course they saw it as a labour of love. However, apart from being Celtic-minded, they are lawyers, and as such have a love affair with excessive fees too. Would love to see their total bill. However, if it's a stitch up, and they keep the £2m AND give us further sanctions, then I'm all for the Court of Session. The SFL have no gripe here, and I don't think our SFA membership would be revoked - the TV deal relies on us.

CG is a strange one. He's had a lot of stick, and he came into this green - so to speak. I wouldn't write the man off.
