  1. I was working and was saying to people that if I had a mortgage I'd of put it on us drawing 0-0.. wish I had a set of balls on me!
  2. Lot of talk that McCulloch will be the lone striker. Disappointing.
  3. You owe Nike £5bn for copyright infringment. Oh, and you forgot these.
  4. Ah, it's in the middle of the article. Ya lazy bastard! Kidding. Never heard of the lad in fairness.. not even a mention of an age or anything. STEVIE LENNON grabbed a last-minute winner at Raydale Park today after Gretna manager Davie Irons made a costly blunder. Lennon pounced when 46-year-old Irons was short with a header back to keeper Arthur Krysiak and he lobbed the ball into the net to grab victory. It was a sweet moment for Lennon as he had missed a penalty 15 minutes into the second half. Krysiak brought down the talented Rangers star after first saving a fierce shot from the youngster and then promptly blocked the spot kick. However, like all good strikers, Lennon was on hand to capitalise on Irons' mis-timed header in the final minute to pull Rangers closer to league leaders St Mirren. It was a good day too for Stevie Smith and Andy Webster as they both played the full 90 minutes and that augurs well as they try to get closer to the first team picture. Rory Loy also got 45 minutes after having a spell on the sidelines but it was a disappointing day for Spaniard Dorja Lazaro who had to go off injured after 27 minutes. RANGERS: Graeme Smith; Lowing, Webster, Chris Smith, Stevie Smith; Lennon, McMillan, Furman, Loy (Kind Bendiksen 45); Fleck, Lazaro (Efrem 27)
  5. Thing is, they were 8/1 on our coupon then got pushed out to 11's.
  6. They usually have a sponsor but took it off.
  7. Personally loved seeign the old school kits on show today.
  8. With us, City were going off at 11/1 and Liverpool were 7/2. Basically, for a pound you're getting £54! I fancied City today for some reason.
  9. I know they've been poor recently but relegating them from the 1st division to the 3rd division in the middle of teh season is a bit harsh!
  10. I agree, singles, doubles, trebles and accies are the way to go. It's extremely rare for people to make a profit doing things such as your Lucky's and combination forecasts and what-not. Plain and simple all the way.

    Reserves

RANGERS' Reserves produced an excellent display to beat Kilmarnock 1-0 at Rugby Park tonight and Christian Dailly impressed in what what his first appearance in a blue jersey. The Scotland international played at centre-half alongside Andy Webster and strolled through the 90 minutes, helping his team keep a clean sheet in the process. The match was played at a terrific tempo and proved to be the perfect workout for Steven Smith and Andy Webster as they bid to return to full fitness. Webster's night, however, was interrupted on 15 minutes when he came off second best in an aerial challenge with Killie trialist Bas Savage. The defender left the field to receive treatment for some time and had to have five stitches inserted to a head wound. He would later leave the field again on 88 minutes with the injury still causing him some discomfort and did not return. There was better fortune for Smith who looks to be getting sharper with every game while Amdy Faye was a stand-out throughout the game. In the end, however, it was a goal from captain Dean Furman on 56 minutes that seperated the sides. John Fleck chased a lost cause down the wing and crossed for his teammate who never broke his stride to drill home a low drive into the net from the edge of the box. It was his fourth goal of the season and coach Ian Durrant was delighted with the work-rate shown from both his experienced and young stars. He said: "I thought our boys were terrific tonight considering they had not played a competitive game since December 4. "Credit must go to both teams for playing the game at a great pace. "It was an excellent test for our players coming back from injury and also for Christian who did very well." Dailly said: "It was great to be involved tonight. and I enjoyed the 90 minutes. "It was obviously my first game for the club so it was nice to get a win and I was very impressed with the young lads in the side. They were excellent." RANGERS: G. Smith; Lowing, Webster, Dailly, S. Smith (C. Smith 76); McMillan, Faye, Furman; Novo (Novo 65), Gow, Fleck (Lazaro 84) Not Used: Donald, G. Adam
  12. THE date is July 1, 2020 and Rangers' manager Barry Ferguson and his trusted assistant Lee McCulloch are plotting the club's defence of the domestic treble they won during the 2019/20 campaign. This might sound a bit far-fetched at the start of 2008 but Barry has revealed that he will take his first tentative steps into the world of football coaching at the end of this season with his good pal Lee. The Gers' captain, who celebrates his 30th birthday tomorrow, insists that he will play at the top level for at least another five years but is already making plans for when his glittering career comes to an end. Becoming the boss at Ibrox may be a distant dream for Fergie at this stage of his life but who is to say it will not become a reality in the future. If someone had said during the nine-in-a-row era that legendary goalscorer Ally McCoist and his partner in crime Ian Durrant would be back at the club as part of Walter Smith's coaching staff in 2007 they would probably have been locked in a cell in a straight jacket! McCoist and Durrant, of course, were famous throughout the 90s for their larger than life personalities and electric wit but as time has past both have become highly skilled coaches in their own right. Following in their footsteps is something that appeals greatly to Barry although he is the first to admit that he has a lot to learn as well as a lot to offer. Having made his debut against Hearts at Tynecastle on the final day of the historic 1996/97 season he has now played at the highest level for more than a decade and feels that passing his vast experience to the next generation of football stars in Scotland would give him a great deal of satisfaction. He said: "I have decided that I am going to do my coaching badges this year so that is something I am looking forward to. "I have been mulling it over for the past couple of years and finally decided to give it a shot. "The biggest thing for me would be to train young players and pass on my experience to them. "I think I would get a lot out of that but we will see if I can pass the badges I take later this year. "Myself and big Lee are going to do it soon and we will see where that takes us. "I know that Nacho did it with my brother Derek last year so if he can pass I am sure I do it also!" Hitting the big 'three zero' might be a frightening prospect to some footballers who view this as the end of their prime. Ferguson, however, insists that he has never felt better physically and feels that he is at currently at his peak in terms of fitness and stamina. He said: "There is no doubt that I feel fitter now than I was when I was 21 or 22. "Obviously when you get older you look after yourself a bit more than when you are young. "When you are in your early 20s being fit comes easy to you but I have learned a lot over the years and I am sure I will be able to play for the next five years no problem at all. "Rest, of course, is an important aspect as you get older but to be honest I would rather play in every game as oppose to train all the time. "That is not to say that I do not enjoy training because I do and I think I am working harder now than I ever have done at Murray Park. "My fitness is probably at the best level it has been in a long time." Like most people Barry feels the last ten years have flown by in the blink of an eye but having gathered eleven winners' medals during this time he has a lot of fond memories to look back on. Four League Championship medals, three Scottish Cup and four League Cup successes have cemented his position as a Gers' great but he is greedy for more and believes that Walter Smith's current squad have what it takes to bring the glory days back to Ibrox. He said: "I do not want to think about hitting 30 and, to be honest, I can't believe where the time has gone. "But to get eleven medals from my time at the club is a great achievement and I am sure I will win plenty more in the coming seasons. "I am back enjoying my football again and the whole place has been given a huge lift with the new management team coming in so hopefully I can win many more trophies before my career comes to an end. "Everyone can see when they walk into Murray Park that it is a happy place right now and that is the way it should be. "You should always feel happy coming into a place like this on a daily basis but in the past there were some players who did not feel like that. "But Walter and his staff have come in and changed everything. You look forward to going to work which is great for everyone." With Rangers currently in the midst of yet another hectic schedule of games it is not surprising that Barry will be spending most of his birthday at a hotel in Edinburgh with his teammates prior to Sunday's Scottish Cup fifth round tie against Hibs. The champagne will have to be put on ice until after the trip to Easter Road but he is hoping to make it a double celebration by securing a win against Mixu Paatelainen's side. "I have said many times that I am happy when the games come thick and fast. "People often ask me if I am tired if I play Saturday-Wednesday-Saturday but in this day if you prepare right and look after yourself you should not have any problems. "This week we have played against Hearts in the League Cup and then we follow that be taking on Hibs in the Scottish Cup. "As a footballer that is something you just have to accept and I will be looking forward to going back to Easter Road. "I think our 2-1 win there on December 29 was possibly our best performance in a long, long time but they now have a new manager in place so I expect them to be a different proposition to the team we faced prior to New Year." A daunting thought for most, I'd imagine! Happy Birthday none the less!
  13. We'd all love it, but Hutton's not coming back. I would be genuinely shocked if he didn't spend a couple of years at Spurs before being Man United-bound. I'm actually shocked Fergie didn't come in for him this window considering he's having to play Wes Brown and John O'Shea at right back, both of whom Hutton is streets ahead of as a right back in my book. I'd also say the same for him against Gary Neville who in my opinion is past it, club captain or not.
  14. Cousin deal has not gone through, he's here till the summer, officially. FIFA say they're not changing the rules.. even though they bent over backwards when Liverpool wanted Mascherano.
  15. Different altogether I know, but in Football Manager, signing Italian players is often a nightmare because of the way you have to negotiate with both cllubs and so on. I can imagine this was similar.
  16. I'm relieved. It had flop written all over it.
  17. We're definitely finished. Sky Sports News is brilliant tonight. They've got that Andy Burton fella sitting in the studio passing on any little tidbit he gets, and some managers have actually sent the show a text saying they're finished for the night and so on. They did a pirce earlier with their reporter for the Afonso Alves transfer and the guy held his phone up to depict a text from the guys agent saying 'Almost there'.
  18. Sky Sports News just went to David Tanner up in Scotland and he's said that's us finished for tonight.
  19. You're full of shit Fraser. Do yourself a favour and shut up about this source or you'll keep taking a pelting.
