The ideal solution is for the chap who organised the “departure” to pay compensation out of his own pocket but the cash should be diverted from the spivs to the saviours. I wonder who is the culprit at COPFS. Wolfe must know.

I’m interested in quite a few English teams but interest is not enough. A team is only yours if victory brings wild exultation of joy, a draw brings sullen discontent and defeat casts you down to the depths of despair and seething rage. On that measure I have only two teams, in alphabetical order, Elgin City and Rangers.

That’s true. Newcastle, the Real Villa and Everton have bigger UK supporter potential but global ‘Spurs have the London look and the stadium to prove it. I could chip in with a couple of hundred quid if you’re thinking about a consortium.
