The Rangers Sports Day was a mid-summer event attracting entries from world class athletes with a five-a-side football tournament to swell crowds to 30,000 + Ibrox was also the venue for Glasgow City Police Sports earlier in summer. As you say, BH, first team (blues) v reserves (reds) was the big pre-season event again with crowds at ver 30,000

Looks like reds v blues pre-season. The hero in the middle about to be toppled by Harold is Sammy Baird. The other chap looks like Willie Telfer. If so that's a life-threatening situation for Sammy. Just as well he was a hardy lad himself.

Failing McCann, my preference from the purported nominations is Lovenkrands. A formal coaching qualification may not be necessary for the job.

If I were President of the Supreme Court I'd say I was persuaded by the reasoning and eloquence of Revenue Counsel and not convinced by the Appellants' Counsel.
