Summer transfer window: Official ins/outs and transfer rumours
barca72 replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
What's the source? -
And you made me pay for any transgressions, perceived or otherwise, good for you.
-
I'm not an expert either, and I'm not trying to torpedo you here, but why if they asked him to underwrite it and they refused him a look at the financials, would he have previously bought shares without looking at the financials?
-
Are you hard of understanding? Read again the quote you have just posted. And then read again post #66. In fact read post #21 in the Share movement thread where you are exhorting us to read between the lines. Now are you finished with this nonsense? Edit; I remember now, it was a few months back where I railed on you for an answer. I forget the thread or I would look it up. Is this you obtaining retribution? Good for you son, I hope you are feeling justified.

I used it in a quote situation, I did not originate the word in this conversation. Anything else you're bothered about?

Let's take a whip round!!! -
I am feeling perfectly fine. Are you coming in, belatedly, to stick the boot in too?
-
Hildy did not use that phrase, I did, and it is explained in post #66.

Leckie: Stop giving to Ibrox, start following your local team!

I wonder which fans you could be speaking of? Dunfermline, Hibs etc. are making attempts to have fans involved in club ownership. Now before we go on to Rangers, your original post was lamenting on the dying football culture on the Scottish football scene, correct? 1/ An awful lot of Rangers' fans including myself would not agree that the RST vehicle is the answer. 2/ If Rangers and Celtic leave Scottish football, then surely the downward trend you are lamenting in your original post will only be hastened? 3/ Who will pay for these new people? Scottish football doesn't even have a sponsor. We have a tv deal which no one knows the details of. Surely this should be laid at the feet of the men who have brought Scottish football to this point, mainly Lawwell, Regan and Doncaster? 4/ How can Rangers and Celtic work together when just after Rangers went into administration, Lawwell stated that Celtic did not need Rangers to survive and that they were perfectly capable of forging ahead on their own? He was wrong then and he is wrong now when he tries to accuse Rangers of costing his club 10 to 15 million pounds per year. Is that the way to attract a partner to join you in an enterprise? Rangers' rehabilitation will take time, even after they get rid of the sp*vs, but it will be through that rehabilitation that Scottish football will be revived somewhat. It is unrealistic to think that kids will ever give up wanting to watch the giants in Euro countries. However, the fact that all of the smaller tv market countries in Europe are under stress with their national associations, a case could be made that the responsibility to redress this situation should be resting at UEFA's door. -
Have you been reading this thread? And many others like it where he, and his little cabal, say we are finished, we are the worst ever and will never be anything else. Bullshit to that idea.

How would you reverse that trend of a dying football culture? -
Get out of what Chicita? I'm still waiting for an answer from post #39.
-
Okay, to clear up the semantics I'll make it clear for you. Rangers are in a mess, but I will not listen to continual guff that tells me we are finished and will not be strong again unless we buy into some RST scheme. That kind of energy-sapping, will-sapping kind of message does not sit well with me. Rangers, after the sp*vs are punted, will rise again because the support will carry them. Any attempt to reduce the resolve of the support is unwelcome.
-
You think it is funny to think that Rangers will be strong again?
-
I am perfectly aware of what I wrote and if you wish to inject implications that are not there, then you will misunderstand the stance taken.
-
No I'm not getting tied in knots. You will not find me having used the word invincible. That is your conclusion which is wide of the mark. I am refuting any insidious campaign that is trying to tell me that Rangers will not rise to be strong again. I am satisfied that by doing so I have uncovered his true aim of trying to recruit members for his own little scheme.
-
And my reply was -"Wrong. This Hildy is once again insidiously suggesting that we will no longer be invincible and I'm refuting that." I'm not introducing the phrase but refuting it. I have not and will not say we are invincible. Nobody is. But because he pulls that from the ether does not make it so. I read that as him saying we will not rise to be strong again. I don't accept that. In fact he states that we will be strong again, but only if we buy into his little plan.

Just another article in a long line from the mhedia designed to cut at the will of the fans to support Rangers. Insidious. -
His words not mine, smiler. I guess you're easily amused.
-
What's your problem?
-
Where in that exchange you posted did I say we would not have a team to support? Anyway, you still haven't answered the question from post #39.
-
So now we find your true motivation. One of the Grandmaster's little soldiers. For weeks now you have been feeding us this fatalistic propaganda about the slow death of Rangers only to come out with your salespitch when you deem the time is right. No thanks, mister. I don't need your bullshit, I've seen snakeoil salesmen in action before. Don't be telling me I should be hooking up with the RST. I have no objection to fan ownership, in fact I think it is probably the way forward in the end. First we get rid of the sp*vs and their backers. But I'll tell you one thing, there is not a chance in hell I will hook up with anything to do with RST. Any suspicions about RST were confirmed on here a while back by BH. Do you think that by cutting the fans belief in Rangers as a team the way it now stands, that you can then come in and try and sell us on your brand of salvation? I consider that to be a phony supporter. Your little cabal has in my opinion, done more to split the support than any other. I'll wait for a plan that unites the fans and that has trusted personnel, in my eyes, in key positions.
-
What are you on about? In post #44 I've said that the sp*vs and their backers need to be overturned.
-
Wrong. This Hildy is once again insidiously suggesting that we will no longer be invincible and I'm refuting that.
-
That's a whole lot of made up bullshit. One thing is certain, without the support there will be no Rangers. The support will always be here because no doubt they will puke on the utter drivel you would have them believe. How do you think we got this far? Little sp*vs playing money games? You are good at spreading doom and gloom but absolutely nothing positive. They know there are problems to be dealt with, but they also know your high school logic is not the way to go forward. Do you get some kind of perverse pleasure out of daily droning on about the very near demise and destruction of Rangers? As I said before , stick it, the support doesn't want to hear it. They want a way forward, not that they are beat before they start. And right on cue, Ian posts a column from Bill Leckie preaching the same give-up, debilitating stuff as yourself. I'm sure the support will listen to him too !!
