  1. Went back thirty days and did not find the quote you speak of so I'll leave you to produce it.
  2. Not with your kind of support it won't. One thing's for sure, for them to have a future the fans need to continue to support them. And that means through good times and bad times.
  3. If this board sells MacLeod, I think that will be the straw that breaks the camel's back for them.
  4. No sir, you can stick that idea. As long as Rangers are their support then we will always recover. We have seen these temporary aberrations in fan disaffection before, but you will not sow the seed that we are finished. Granted, this time it is different. But someway, somehow this board and their backers will be overturned and the support WILL have their team back. WE ARE RANGERS, and don't you forget that.
  5. Then why bother with one that is such a chore? All that one does is win leagues.
  6. You started your post talking about Falkirk, but you'll know what you are talking about. Now in regards to Swansea, you say that's a proper club. Doing well, joint-top of the EPL. Just re-signed Ki to a new contract. Got Bony last year. Last year it was reported that they had a wage bill of purportedly around 65% of revenue for the previous season. Huge income from tv revenue, being in the EPL. Wage bill will probably be higher this year. Anyway, it's easy to look like a proper club when you don't have the oeverhead of laying any money out for a stadium. I wonder what the decision of the EC inquiry into the Liberty stadium will be ... http://www.insideworldfootball.com/world-football/europe/13858-ec-calls-in-swansea-s-liberty-stadium-funding-for-closer-scrutiny Maybe they might have to pay some millions of pounds back there, could possibly put a dent in their 'proper' running of the club. I mean they won the English league cup beating Bradford 5-0, sounds like a lot of EPL teams may have underperformed or just don't rate that cup for their best players. Anyway, I'm sure Rangers' fans would have been quite happy if Rangers were to be run properly, sign a lot of young players and end up in 12th place of the league last year. Rangers' fans have shown in the past they have the patience to accept not being champions, of any league, while waiting for the possible thunder of the EC to strike. Aye right.
  7. They've had proper major trophy results too, eh? Last one was the Scottish cup final 2009, beaten by Rangers. Before that, ...
  8. He led the vanguard that caused the situation and in typical **** fashion he wants to blame someone else for their position. May the suffering be long and hard for your team, who does not need any other team to survive in your own words, and may the crumbling continue. There is no sympathy for you on the south side of the city.
  9. What compo said helps the club. I can't find any help for the club in what you said. Do you have a solution, that is positive and practical, that would be helpful for the club?
  10. One more time. On entry to the presser, Ally stated that he would only comment on football matters. Unequivocal. These are the boundaries. Anyone stepping outwith the boudaries deserves no answers. They got no story. Maybe next time they will learn.
  11. Ally did not ask them not to ask him about the day's big story. He simply stated that he would not comment on anything other than football matters. Were you like the journalists, did you not hear him say that? It is not his job to be responsible for non-football matters. Why do we have a CEO and a board? How many times has he let it be known that if he wants to sign a player he has to put his case to the CEO and wait for an answer? His remit is not to satisfy your curiosity about financial matters at a press conference, but rather to inform us of football situations prior to tomorrow's game. He does not earn his salary for being the board's mouthpiece. If you want to know about financial matters speak to the board, if they'll talk to you.
  12. Lifted this post off of RM. Maybe someone who is on twitter can check it ... According to Richard Wilson, the Nomad contacted King about share offer, King asked to look at financials. The Nomad refused.
  13. Had never heard of this team before ... Fotbal Club Astra Giurgiu is a Romanian professional football club from Giurgiu, Romania. They were founded in 1921, in Ploiești and spent their vast majority in the lower leagues. Only after 1990, when the club was taken under the ownership of Ioan Niculae, it began to achieve some performances, starting with the first season of Liga I in 1998-99. They are currently playing in the country's top league, Liga I. It qualified for the very first time in history to the UEFA Europa League at the end of the 2012–13 Liga I season, after it finished 4th in the table. Astra Giurgiu was known as Astra Ploiești until September 2012 when it was moved from Ploiești to Giurgiu, by owner Ioan Niculae. The traditional colours of the team are white and black. Probably two easy wins right there.

  16. You're sure that KM won't do anything for us, and you're sure that there is nothing to appreciate in LMcC's game? I'm bookmarking this thread.
  17. I won't argue about your greater wealth of experience with the youth setup. But let me ask you, in our position don't you think that if we get one or two new players per year from the youth programme trialed and bedded with the first team squad we are doing well?
  18. Did those donkeys help to win the league?
  19. C'mon man, I just said he reminded me of Ralphie. KM is still a work in progress. That was some forward line though - Scott, Simpson, Millar, Brand and Wilson.
  20. MacLeod, Aird, Gallagher, MacKay, Gasparotto etc. You would hope that we get the majority of the best.
  21. In the days when Paul Hartley was the midfielder for C1888c, they would dominate the midfield and attack high. You could ask Hartley who was the player who tackled him the hardest. This in turn forced him back and allowed Rangers to attack higher. It's not always the flashiest moves that win you games. McCulloch had virtues that were not always appreciated.
